CASA and E-Leader Conference brief

Chinese American Scholars Association (CASA) was founded for academics, managers, professionals who supported the concerns of the Chinese American issues. CASA was registered with State of New York and Internal Revenue Service (IRS code Section 501 C-3), as a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization in 1989. CASA ran 20+ workshops and conferences in the New York area with daily attendance 30 to 450 people. In 2004, emerging markets Brazil, Eastern Europe, Russia, India and China moved to the world stage. Speakers and local participants raved about the face-to-face exchanges between CEOs, founders, managers and professors, from diverse areas of expertise and background. The summaries produced by the various speakers are referred to studies, researches or experiments made around the world: most represented universities and businesses was from United States, with over 10 papers, followed from Italy, Czech Republic, UK, Slovenia and Singapore. Among the young scientists, I mention the work of Barbara Grah (PhD in Economics, University of Ljubljana) on “Neuro-Leadership and integrative learning”: an interesting perspective on how organizations can implement a cultural ecosystem through a collaborative approach to problem solving. Among the entrepreneurs, I report Melonie Karen Gould, business woman, mentor and sponsor of many innovative companies, who presented her research and organizational framework “Happy Enterpreneur mind set”, a useful help to those who want to reshape their own way of doing business in this time of disrupting changes. The rapid evolution of digital world is producing innovations not only in the field of products and services, but also in the systems of reference we use to learn and to interact with the world around us. In a recursive way, we refine our knowledge and in parallel, we are changing also the vision of the world and the actions we can do in order to be a part of it.
