History of theInstitution
During the Golden Jubilee Year of India’s Independence(1997), the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan establishedKendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha at Garli in the State of Himachal Pradesh. It is now renamed as the VedvyasCampus of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan ( Deemed University ). The campus is presently located in a ownedbuilding. The Government of Himachal Pradesh has allotted a suitable piece of land ad-measuring 2-63-18
hectares at Village-Balahar, near Pragpur, Tehsil-Dehra, District – Kangra (H.P.). The Institution is aConstituent institution of Rashtriya Sanksrit Sansthan (Deemed Umiversity) New Delhi. The first phase ofconstructions Completed on this site, including administrative block, classroom and library completed in
financial year 2010-2011. Students from all sections of society are imparted instructions of Prak Shastri atIntermediate level and in the subjects of Sahitya, Jyotisha Adwaita vedanta and Vyakarana at Shastri(BA)and Acharya(MA) levels. Research programme leading to the degree of Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D) is also offered.The subjects like Computer Education, Environmental Studies, Hindi, English, Economics and Histroy are
also taught as a part of the course. Since 2014-2015 Shiksha Shastri(B.Ed) Professional Course alsoIntroduced in this Institution.
