INDEPENDENCE DAY VIRTUAL CELEBRATION

thIndore Public School celebrated the 74 Independence Day with patriotic fervor and zeal on August 15, 2020. Due to the ongoing Corona Pandemic, it was celebrated in a subdued manner. The programme initiated with ag hoisting ceremony by the Principal – Ms. Sudha Pandey. The cultural programme embarked with a general welcome of the school Management members. The performances on the virtual platform set the pitch and the audience witnessed a grandiose of music and dance performances comprising of patriotic songs, speech, and poem recitation. It was indeed a proud moment to watch the stellar performances. The celebration witnessed everyone cherishing the essence of tri-colour wrapped in emotions and pride for the motherland.

Celebrating the spirit of Independence imbued with patriotic fervour, the students from classes VI – XII participated in Inter-House Poster Making Competition on 'Ardent Lovers of The Nation'. The children made beautiful posters as they wielded their brushes and wrote messages to depict India of their dreams. The students showcased their creativity and knowledge as they painted pictures of a beautiful, ideal dream India. The competition provided a platform to the learners to display their perception and interpretation of India of their dreams. A gallery full of posters is proof enough of the combination of creativity, expression and patriotism.

The tiny-tots of Pre- Primary Wing celebrated Independence Day with mouth-watering yummy dishes. The students offered a treat to eyes through the activity 'Cooking without Fire'.They served the dishes in artistic and aesthetic manner. The recipes were really creative and a fusion of cuisines from different states. Students participated with much exuberance and prepared lip smacking dishes like vegetable salad, tricolour laddu, vegetable pyramids, paneer shots, fruit tower, tiranga uttapam etc.

thA virtual Fancy Dress Competition was organised as a part of the 74 Independence Day celebration where in the children participated with pride displaying their love for the nation, acknowledging the sacrices of the Martyrs. The enthusiastic participants came dressed as freedom ghters. Each participant spoke a few lines on his/ her choice of theme. Their performances left the judges awestruck. The creativity of their costumes was ingenuous and the condence with which they spoke, about their character, was commendable. The judgement was based on parameters like Creativity of Costumes, Speech Clarity and Condence.

The auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chatruthi was celebrated on August 22, 2020.

The pious day was marked by the 'Moorti Sthapna Ceremony' in the school to celebrate the festival. Amidst the bhajans & chanting the Idol of Lord Ganesha was sthapit in the school hostel. The Management Members, Principal and Hostel Staff paid obeisance to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha- God of prosperity, luck and fortune. The puja culminated with the rendition of aarti as everyone sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha followed by distribution of prasad. Everyone prayed to 'Vighan Harta' to remove all the obstacles, shower his blessings and guide the path of righteousness.

ECO – FRIENDLY GANESHA

The ongoing coronavirus crisis has dampened the spirit of all festivals, yet the Pre-Primary Wing came up with the unique idea of creating Eco-friendly Ganesha idols on Ganesh Chaturthi to promote the idea of ecological balance and to reduce pollution. It was a real fun for the children to put their fingers on the clay and produce beautiful idols of Lord Ganesh of different sizes and shapes under the guidance of their parents. The Tiny Tots made Ganesh idols from clay, pulses, leaves etc. with devotion, passion and creativity. The idols were cynosure of all eyes. This activity was organised to create awareness and encourage their creativity through hands-on activity.

The Sports Fraternity of Indore Public School, commemorated the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, which is celebrated as National Sports Day across the country on August 29 every year. Stressing the need to stay t and healthy, the auspicious day is observed to spread awareness on the importance of sports and daily activities in every individual's life. It is important that children should be given equal opportunities in sports arena as well to groom themselves for future prospects. Sports can also be taken up as a challenging profession by children of the modern digital era to bring back the world to its roots.

GANESH VISARJAN

The entire campus resonated with the loud chanting of 'Ganpatti Bappa Morya' as the school fraternity performed the Ganesh Visarjan Ceremony on September 1, 2020. The beautifully decorated eco-friendly clay idol of Lord Ganesha was carried amidst cheers and shower of ower petals accompanied with musical procession. The ceremony culminated by immersing the revered idol in water. Everyone bid adieu to their favourite God after seeking his blessings for a great year ahead, with a request, asking Him to return next year. It was a joyous, colourful and enthusiastic program.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

To honour the teachers for their priceless job, Teacher's Day was celebrated on September 5, 2020. Following the lock-down restrictions and social distancing norms it was celebrated virtually. The programme commenced by seeking blessings from Goddess Saraswati. The spectacular performances comprising of virtual poem recitation, speech, and animated videos won the appreciation of one and all. The noteworthy performances by the students in the form of dance, poetry and songs especially created in honour of the teachers, had a mesmerizing appeal. The virtual event was visualized by Management Members, Principal and all the faculty members. It was a great experience for all.

To commemorate the never-ending love and respect for teachers, the students celebrated Teacher's Day in a special way. A blend of exceptional creativity and imagination was displayed by the students of classes I - XII during the 'Card Making Competition'. The response for the event was overwhelming and each card was unique and beautiful showing the artistic aptitude, interest and creativity of each student. The cards were evaluated on the basis of design, materials used, skill and presentation.

Mr. Nitin Multani is one of the few recipients of this highly prestigious honour who has earned this acclamation for his work prole as a consistent and dedicated Faculty of Indore Public School.
