Many times we are asked, Who is my

    deacon?

To help you, we will list the Deacon of the

Week and his list of families in the WLBC

Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a

complete list posted on the bulletin board

near the church office. This complete list is

alphabetical by your last name. We hope

this will help you know who your deacon is

for the year. If you have any questions,

please feel free to contact the church office.

Foolish talkA pastor named P.S. Hensen was to speak at Lake Chautauqua on the

subject of fools. His talk was likely based on 1 Corinthians 4:10, in whichPaul said, "We are fools for the sake of Christ."

Bishop John Vincent introduced Hensen with the follow-ing words: "Ladiesand gentlemen, we're about to have a talk on 'fools' by one of the mostdistinguished (long silence, with laughter from the audience) men of

    Chicago."

Hensen went to the lectern and said, amid giggles, "I am not so great a foolas Bishop Vincent (pause, silence, more laughter) would have you think."

    Bible Quiz

According to the New Testament, John the Bap-tist introduced two of his followers to Jesus. Themen were brothers named Andrew and Simon.

Almost immediately, Jesus accepted the twomen as friends and followers. He gave one ofthem a new name. Jesus said, "You are Simon

son of John. You are to be called Cephas" (whichis translated _______ ).

Choose the correct name from the list below.

    A. Nicodemus; B. Matthew; C. Philip; D. Peter

    (See John 1:42.)
