Dear Partners and Friends, Thank you for your partnership with RIMI. The Silver Jubilee Annual Banquet was a great success and there is a full update with photos on the next page. Leading up to the banquet, RIMI’s Board Meeting took place. The meeting, which took place over two days, went well. We look forward to RIMI’s future with eager anticipation. Great things are in the works, such as an upcoming partnership with the C.S. Lewis Institute. We praise God for the abundant support of one of our partners, Ray and Jean Yeackley, who paid off the remaining mortgage for the RIMI Headquarters building in Lindenhurst, IL. Ray has since gone home to be with the Lord. However, his generosity lives on. RIMI hosted a special mortgage burning celebration on September 21 to commemorate his legacy, thank and honor his wife Jean, and dedicate a portion of the RIMI office in their name. Prior to the celebration, we worked on refreshing the various photos and signage and doing necessary repairs, such as replacing the badly damaged parking lot. Thanks again to the various generous partners who helped us raise the needed funds. In November of this year, Mony and I will be travelling to India, along with other RIMI partners, to attend the Mission India Silver Jubilee Celebration. As part of the celebration, we have planned to do the following: 1. Youth Festival November 5-7: Expecting over 1,000 young people, mainly from our various Mission India ministries. 2. Mission India Family Conference November 8-11: Expecting over 1,200 leaders and speakers include David Ripley, Bob Boerner, T.J. Samuel, George C. Kuruvilla, Prabhu Singh, Saji Lukos, Tom Dooley, and others. The theme of the conference is “Celebrating God’s Faithfulness – Past, Present, Future”. 3. Honoring selected individuals – Providing 25 scholarships for needy children, 25 sewing machines to poor women, helping 5 poor girls for marriage needs, helping 10 widows, and providing 20 bicycles to evangelists. For all these programs, our budget is $100,000. We ask you to consider a generous gift for honoring the poor with these special projects with $250 or more. We appreciate your prayers for the conference and for all the leaders who will travel many miles to attend. We look forward to hearing from you and pray God’s blessing over you and your family. RIMI SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATION 2018“Celebrating God’s Faithfulness: Past, Present, and Future”

THANK YOU to all who came to our Silver Jubilee Celebration Banquet! There were 300+ attendees and approximately 1/3rd of those were new supporters of RIMI. We were all blessed by the moving testimonies of how God has touched people’s lives through the ministry. Our goal was to raise $30,000 at the banquet for various needs, and over $37,000 was raised. Praise God! Looking forward, next year’s banquet will take place at the same location on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 12:00pm-3:00pm. Hope to see you there!

Possession to PeaceMantia Mehra was born and raised in a Hindu family in Nepal. Growing up, life was very hard. Her father was possessed with an evil spirit and her mother performed many Hindu rituals to save her father. Nothing worked and tragically, her father died. Since he was the bread winner for the family, losing him meant losing everything. Her mother

would sell homemade jewelry to buy food. She also continued going to the temples to pray to the Hindu gods and goddess to receive help, but nothing worked. There was no peace in the family.

One day, her mother became ill and was possessed by an evil spirit. She and her brother didn’t know what to do! A friend told them about a pastor that lived in their village. They called him, and he prayed for their mother. Miraculously, their mother was healed. The pastor shared the Gospel and they surrendered their lives to Jesus.

They are often harassed for their faith in Jesus Christ. Her brother was wrongfully accused of a crime and has been in prison for 7 years. Please pray for their family as they serve the Lord in this wicked world.

And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

Hospital UpdateThrough the Mission India Hospital, RIMI is providing health care to the needy and poor from the most undeveloped regions. The hospital is on the seminary campus in Khadgaon, Nagpur and provides medical care to hundreds of poor

people from the 7 villages nearby. In addition to this, we conduct periodic free medical camps in rural villages with the help of many physicians who volunteer for this noble cause.

The new dental department is now open. Dr. Vinaysingh Pawar, is an experienced dentist that has a heart to serve the poor. During the month of August, over 40 patients were checked. We provided Metal Ceramic Cap, Cleaning, GIC filling, and Dental Extractions. We have discovered that the main cause of dental issues is chewing tobacco. Therefore, we are organizing a seminar to let people know that the sugar and irritants in the tobacco cause cavities, abrasion of teeth, teeth staining, bad breath, gum disease, receding gums, bone loss around roots, and tooth loss.

42 students graduated this year from the Lukos Institute of Ayush and Paramedical Science and received a diploma in Bed Side Assistant. Three of our own Mercy Home girls completed the one-year program and are now working at a government hospital. The institute has received approval from the government to provide the following Health Skill courses this year: Nursing Aide Assistant and Midwifery Assistant.

Here are some of our Goals for the 2019-2010 Academic Year:• Accreditation from Indian Nursing Council, to start

the following courses next year: ANM, GNM, and B. Sc. Nursing.

• Accreditation from Maharashtra Health University/Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University for the following: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Pharmacy.

• Accreditation with National Health Skill Development ministry for starting various Para medical Courses such as: Operation Theatre Assistant, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Speech Therapy, and Optometry.

• Approval for starting new paramedical courses: Dental Ceramic Assistant, Dental Mechanic, X-Ray Technician, Lab Technician, and Ayurveda Spa Therapist.

Healing FaithVishal Bharti was born and raised in a Hindu home in Bihar. Growing up, his family worshipped idols and attended Hindu temples. They would offer food to these false idols even when they had nothing to eat! When Vishal was a young boy, he developed white spots all over his body. His parents took him to many doctors, but the medication didn’t work. They prayed to idols and performed varies Hindu rituals, but still nothing worked. One day, Vishal met a young woman named Lala in his village. She shared the gospel and asked Vishal to trust in Jesus to be healed. He didn’t really believe what she said, but he was curious and decided to attend a local church service to see what would happen. To his surprise, as the pastor prayed for the sick, the white spots started disappearing! This healing led Vishal to start praying and attending church. After one month of praying and going to church, he was completely healed! But the greatest miracle that took place was when he surrendered his life to Jesus! Today, Vishal’s older

sister is also a follower of Jesus Christ. However, his parents, other two sisters, and grandparents refuse to leave the Hindu faith. Although they all live together, there is no peace. Please pray that they would all come to faith soon.

If you would like a personal visit by Saji, or any of our other staff or board members, please contact the RIMI office and we will be glad to help.

Empowering women is an important part of the work we do to bring about transformation in communities. Recently, we conducted a one day Women’s Meeting at Mission India Trinity Church, Wadi, Nagpur. More than 230 women attended from the local cities such as Nagpur, Gondia, Kalmeshwar, and Katol. It was a great blessing for everyone. Sister Sheeba Joseph from Kerala was the main speaker for the meeting.

We have been offering autogiving for the past few years. Have you set up your account yet? Autogiving saves both you and us time and money when processing gifts. To setup autogiving for your account, please contact the office or go online to: RIMI.org/partner.

Stay ConnectedWe have started putting out more communications via e-mail versus paper mail which allows us to communicate with our partners in a more cost-effective manner. We don’t want you to be left out, so please make sure that we have your current e-mail address. In order to give us your current e-mail address, please visit: rimi.org/emailandaddressupdate. Also, if your phone or mailing address has changed, you can let us know via the same link.

Besides the t r a d i t i o n a l charitable giving from your checking or savings account, RIMI can also receive gifts from other sources.

• We are able to receive gifts of stocks directly without having to sell them first. The benefit to this is that you normally don’t have to pay any taxes on appreciated stocks since you didn’t receive any income from them.

• We can help you setup charitable gift annuities and donor advised funds which can help you reduce income taxes, avoiding capital gains or estate taxes, and be a source of income to you, all while helping us fulfill our mission.

• We can work with you to create an endowment. Depending on the setup, income and/or principal from the endowment can be used to support the ministry. The right combination can generate income for the ministry for many years with little to no reduction in principal.

• We can also accept gifts of personal property, life insurance policies, retirement plans (such as IRAs), and real estate. Done properly, these gifts can be made with the donor paying little to no taxes.

As always, please check with your local tax adviser for full legal counsel regarding tax liabilities.

If you are interested, please call the office for more details.
