Overview

e-SECURE is an alert system which can monitor the security devicesconnected to the LAN network, ensure its working status. It can gener-ate alert messages when devices connected to the LAN is not working ornot connected to the network. User configuration tool provides differentcustomization options for adding or deleting devices for monitoring. Alertmessages can be sent to any phone inside the country, and provides optionfor adding or deleting phone numbers using the configuration tool.

e-SECURE module supports maximum of 40 IP devices conected tothe LAN network and 10 phone numbers for sending alert messages. e-SECURE Configuration tool provides an easy way to update, add or deletethe device list and phone number list.

• Insert SIM Card inside the slot provided before power on.

• Connect Power adaptor to the DC Power Jack. Make sure the poweradaptor is 12 Volt providing minimum 1 Ampere current.

• Connect LAN connector to the Router through standard RJ-45 con-nector.

• Connect USB A to B cable for calibration

• Connect High gain antenna to the module in low range areas.

Installing PC Software anddrivers

Installing drivers

Extract the software provided in the support CD to any preferred lo-cation in your computer.Select the driver for 32 bit/64 bit and install it orshow the path.

On Windows 7/8/8.1/XP

• Double click onCP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.exe

• Choose the installation path.

• Click next and complete the installation by clicking on Finish button.

You can check that the drivers have been installed by opening theWindows Device Manager (in the Hardware tab of System control panel).Look for "Silicon Laboratories" in the Ports section.

Configuring using PCSoftware

Using the PC software one can create a new list of IP addresses to bemonitored and Phone numbers to which the alerts are to be send.

Remarks Insert configuration jumper properly before using the configu-ration utility.

Configuration jumper configuration can be set by shorting A5 and A4pins on board, after releasing jumper connected to A4 and A3 pins.

• Connecting serial port using Configuration Utility

1. Connect the USB Cable provided to the e_SECURE Module.Make sure driver is installed properly, if using for the first time.

2. Open the configuration utility by clicking on the CamSec.exeicon.

3. Press the Refresh ports button.

4. Select the correct serial port from the dropdown menu.

5. Open the serial port by clicking the Open port button.

If connection is proper the console will be displayed with content –Port opened successfully. Refer the following screenshots.

• Configure IP list to be monitored

1. Click the Change IP button.

2. To create newlist click on the Create new list button.

3. Enter IP address in the Enter IP field and enter Camera nick-name in Enter Name field.

4. Click Add IP.5. To continue adding IP Addresses repeat the steps used.6. Finally Upload to device should be pressed to upload the list

to the device.

• Add phone numbers to send alert

1. Click the Change Phone numbers button.

2. To create newlist click on the Create new list button.

3. Enter Phone number in the Enter phone number field.

4. Click Add Number.

5. To continue adding more Numbers repeat the steps used.

6. Finally Upload to device should be pressed to upload the listto the device.

Remarks After configuration make sure that the A4 and A3 pins areshorted for normal working of the module.

FAQ

• What is the minimum specification of input power for the workingof the module?

DC Adaptor capable of providing 9 Volt supply or more. 12Volt/ 1 Ampere is recommended as the standard supply source forreliable operation.

• Which operation systems are supported by the configuration soft-ware?

All new windows versions newer than Windows XP are sup-ported, which includes Windows Vista/7/8/8.1. For other OS, usershould contact the support desk by mailing at [email protected].

• Why configuration mode cannot be activated through the Configu-ration software?

Before running the configuration software, make sure the con-figuration jumper is properly inserted in the hardware.

• Why no alert messages are comming from the e-SECURE module?Make sure GSMAntenna and SIM is inserted. Also check whether

the configuration jumper is properly inserted for working as normalmode.

• How to check whether the GSM Modem and SIM Card are working?Make a call to the SIM number in the GSM Modem. If you

are getting the ring sound at the caller end, then GSM Modem isworking. If not reachable, please reapply power.
