SMM 2008 was bigger and better, and the new halls provided the event with more than 20,000 square meters of exhibition space with more room for cutting edge technology. This year has been Jotron’s fifth time in Hamburg, where Jotron met with the global maritime market and in- troduced important innovations with other industry leaders. Hamburg has Germany´s largest sea port and the largest concentration of shipping com- panies in the world. SMM 2008 became the first major event where The Jotron Group was re- presented with Jotron AS (including the offices from UK and USA), Jotron Phontech AS and Jotron Consultas AS. For that reason, the Jotron stand recei- ved a great deal of visitors during the entire week. The event was very successful.
