I. LOGGING IN TO E*VALUE E*Value is accessible via the World Wide Web at www.e-value.net using your PC or mobile device. It is also accessible through the RUSM university portal via single sign on (SSO) by clicking on the E*Value icon on the Launch Pad.

A. Login to E*Value per the steps below: 1. In the address bar of your internet browser type https://www.e-value.net/ 2. The E*Value Healthcare Solutions page will appear 3. Enter your Login Name (see Fig. 1-1) 4. Enter your Password (see Fig. 1-1) 5. Click Login (see Fig. 1-1) NOTE: Your unique login name and password will be delivered to your Ross email account.

II. LAUNCHING THE PxDx CASE LOGGER (PATIENT LOG)

A. Perform the following steps to launch the PxDx Case Logger: 1. Click the PXDX icon located on the top menu (see Fig. 2-1) 2. Click the Add New link to open PxDx Case Logger (see Fig. 2-2)

III. RECORDING A PATIENT ENCOUNTER (PATIENT LOG) Under the main section you will record the date of the interaction, patient demographics, supervisor information. The notes section is optional and may be used to record additional comments. A. Follow the steps below to populate the Main section of the PxDx record: (see Fig. 3-1)

1. Type in the Interaction Date or click on the calendar icon next to the Interaction Date to apply the appropriate date

2. The Core Rotation will be populated automatically 3. The Site will be populated automatically 4. Select the Age of the patient by clicking on the drop-down arrow 5. Select the Gender of the patient by clicking on the drop-down arrow 6. Select the Ethnicity of the patient by clicking on the drop-down arrow 7. Select the Clinical Setting of the encounter by clicking on the drop-down arrow 8. Type in the Supervisor First Name 9. Type in the Supervisor Last Name 10. Select the Supervisor Type by clicking on the drop-down arrow 11. The Notes field is optional and may be used to record additional information or comments related

to the patient encounter 12. Continue to scroll down to the diagnoses section

B. Follow the steps below to populate the Diagnoses section of the PxDx record: (see Fig. 3-2) 1. Select a Diagnosis Group; associated diagnoses for that group will populate below 2. Select the Diagnosis from the populated list OR auto-filter by typing in the first few letters of the

diagnosis 3. Select your Role in the diagnosis by clicking on the drop-down arrow 4. The Notes field is optional and may be used to record additional information or comments related

to the patient diagnosis 5. Click Add Diagnosis

C. Follow the steps below to populate the Procedures section of the PxDx record: (see Fig. 3-3) 1. Select a Procedure Group; associated procedures for that group will populate below 2. Select the Procedure from the populated list OR auto-filter by typing in the first few letters of the

procedure 3. Select your Role in the procedure by clicking on the drop-down arrow 4. The Notes field is optional and may be used to record additional information or comments related

to the patient procedures 5. Click Add Procedure 6. Click Save Record

IV. SAVING / LOADING A CUSTOMIZED PxDx (PATIENT LOG) TEMPLATE The PxDx case logger has a feature, which enables you to save a customized patient log template. The template feature is less time consuming and simplifies the logging process. Once set up and saved, the template will save you time when you have numerous encounters to log, with the same site, with the same supervisor.

A. Follow the steps below to set up, save and upload a saved PxDx template: (see Fig. 4-1)

1. First click on the PxDx Add New link under the User Menu to refresh the PxDx case logger 2. Populate the desired fields under the Main section (i.e. Date of Interaction, Supervisor First

Name, Supervisor Last Name, and Supervisor Type) 3. Click Save as Template at the bottom of the screen, and a pop up window will appear

prompting you to enter a name for your template 4. Type in the desired name and click Save 5. When you return to add a new patient encounter, select the desired template from the

Template drop down menu at the bottom of the screen, and you’re desired settings will populate accordingly

Tip: To delete a saved PxDx template, select the template you wish to delete from the drop down Template menu and click Delete Template. Fig. 4-1

V. RUNNING PxDx DIAGNOSES/PROCEDURES REPORTS PxDx Summary and Crosstab reports are available to help you track and monitor your progress towards completing required patient encounters and procedures. To report on progress towards fulfilling Essential Patient Encounters you should run a Diagnosis Report; Summary OR Crosstab. These reports will list the Essential Patient Encounters, number required, total completed and remaining. To report on progress towards fulfilling Essential Patient Procedures you would run a Procedure Report; Summary OR Crosstab in the same manner as the diagnoses reports. These reports will list the Essential Patient Procedures, number required, total completed and remaining.

A. Follow the steps below to run a Diagnosis Summary report: (see Fig. 5-1 and 5-2) 1. Click the Reports link on the user menu after selecting the PXDX icon(see Fig. 5-1) 2. Click Summary under the Diagnosis Reports heading. 3. Set the Start and End Dates to [Rotation Start Date] through the [Current Date] (see Fig. 5-2) 4. Select Essential Patient Encounters from the Diagnosis Group menu 5. Select show groups and diagnoses from the Show Groups drop down menu 6. Click Next

Tip: Depending upon the format you choose, you will have to click on the Print This Page button to print the results in HTML or follow the MS Excel prompts to download the results to a spreadsheet.

B. Follow the steps below to run a Diagnosis Crosstab report: (see Fig. 5-1 and 5-3) 1. Set the Start and End Dates to [Rotation Start Date] through the [Current Date] 2. Select show completed or show remaining under the Completed/Remaining drop down

menu 3. Select Essential Patient Encounters from the Diagnosis Group menu 4. Click Next

VI. RETRIEVING RUSM DOCUMENTS IN E*VALUE Documents stored in E*Value are housed in folders referred to as document collections. You may access available documents from the collections assigned to your clerkship by clicking the Documents link under the User Menu.

A. Follow the steps below to retrieve the E*Value PxDx User Guide: (see Fig. 6-1) 1. Click the My Profile icon located on top user menu. 2. Click the Program Info link 3. Select the general purpose option from the Document Collection drop down menu (see Fig.

6-2) 4. Click Search (see Fig. 6-2)
