ON BEHALF OF THE ABERDEEN FAMILY YMCA... We’d like to thank you for your past support of YMCA basketball and invite you to take part in the 47th Annual Interstate Tournament to be held March 23rd and 24th, in Aberdeen.
This tournament is for boys grades 3 - 9 and girls grades 7- 9 and will include teams from the tri – state area. To put on such a large tournament, we have relied on dedicated volunteers and this year is no
different. * If your town or school is willing to
provide scorekeepers, timers or even referees,
please contact us as soon as possible. Your help
would be greatly appreciated.
* Upon receiving this information, if you are not
coaching a team, please pass this registration form on
to the coaches in your community who are coaching.
Our tournament is designed for teams of all skill levels from recreational to competitive. Please complete the team history information on the registration form to let us know more about your team for proper bracket placement.
The Aberdeen Family YMCA adheres to the core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty. It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this tournament successful. Your participation in this tournament goes much further than the basketball courts you play on and it lasts much longer than just a weekend. The participation of players and fans helps fund a mission to ensure that all youth will have the opportunity to take part in the fun and rewarding experiences we offer each day. These experiences provide youth with the life skills required to become future leaders, the confidence and self-esteem they desire, and the safety every child deserves. Games start no earlier than 5PM Friday and conclude late afternoon on Saturday
Teams are guaranteed 3 games unless scheduling dictates otherwise
Trophies for 1st place and medals for 2nd & 3rd place/Consolation depending on bracket size
**4 Team Brackets will only receive trophies for 1st place and medals for 2nd place
Rules and Regulations are available online and will be in your coaches’ packets
There will be an adult spectator admission of $4.00 PER DAY or a $7.00 tournament weekend pass
Tournament t-shirts will be sold for $15.00 at gyms
**WAIVER: With the below signature, I have been given permission from each parent, to allow their child to play in the Y’s Interstate Basketball Tournament. They understand that the Y has no responsibility for their child’s medical expenses and well-being, and waive any and all claims against the Aberdeen Family Y should injury occur whether on the premises of the Y or any other premises in which the tournament takes place. I also give the YMCA consent to use pictures taken during this tournament in YMCA publications.
