Design, Construction & SystemsDesign & Construction
• Civil design work almost 100 percent complete
• Safety certification of the designs is progressing well
• Construction is 67 percent complete and on schedule for revenue service in 2016
• Last rail of East Line installed on Nov. 24
Systems
• Energizing testing from the Xcel grid complete at Argo and Sandown substations

Commuter Rail Vehicle• All 50 car bodies from the
base order and the 6 option cars for North Metro were delivered from Hyundai Rotem in Korea to the assembly plant in Philadelphia
• Remaining 10 cars are being fabricated in South Korea
• First four cars arrived at Union Station on Nov. 21
• Public can view the cars at an open house scheduled Dec. 3-6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Union Station commuter rail platform

Maintenance Facility• Denver has issued
temporary certificate of occupancy for building
• DTO staff have relocated to the facility to prepare for operations and maintenance training
• Commuter rail vehicles will be stored at the facility starting Dec. 7
The building structure is complete; track and power installation under way

East Rail Line• Station canopies
complete at Peoria, underway at 38th/Blake and Central Park
• Roadway reconstruction underway on Chambers Road, Smith Road reopened to 2-way traffic
• Installation of glass on 38th/Blake pedestrian bridge starting soon
• Trackwork completed Nov. 24, overhead wire installation moving westward from Dahlia

Gold Line/NW Rail• Crossing and roadway
construction complete on Tennyson Street in Arvada
• OCS pole installation underway along Gold Line
• Crossing and roadway construction on OldeWadsworth in Arvada coming in early 2015
• 64th Avenue bridge to begin soon over BNSF Railway and NW Rail CRT track in Adams County

Structures• East Rail Line: All 19 bridge structures completed
• Gold Line: 4 of 7 bridge structures completed; Moffat Flyover Bridge and Kipling freight and commuter rail bridges moving toward completion
• Northwest Rail: 3 of 6 bridge structures completed; Clear Creek Bridge well under way, Jersey Cutoff begun, 64th Avenue road bridge scheduled to start construction early 2015
• Independent Design Check (IDC) being completed

Olde Town Transit Hub• Groundbreaking of the
transit hub at the Olde Town Arvada Station took place Nov. 13
• Arvada taking lead on constructing plaza and 650-space parking and bus transfer structure to open in time for Gold Line revenue service;
• RTD, Arvada and plaza garage contractor to coordinate on traffic impacts to ensure all businesses will be accessible
Track installation and roadway work is well underway at the Olde Town Arvada Station area

DBE/SBE/WIN • A track laborer hired in September brings DTP’s project hiring through the WIN
Program to a total of 48 participants
• DBE/SBE commitments have exceeded goals as of October 2014 (see chart)
• DTP hosted an Appreciation Luncheon for members of the Mentor/Protégé program and personnel from RTD’s Civil Rights office to recognize the hard work each of the mentor/protégé companies has put in during the program
