A Step Back in Time By Bobbie Sue Shelton-Lonas Home of Sam & Luda Edmonds Back Row L to R - Sammie May Edmonds (McPherson) (Bellenfant) (b. 1896 d. 1941), Drucilla Owen Edmonds (b. 1848 d. 1925) (Mother of Sam Edmonds), Annella Edmonds (Tomlin) (b.1899 d. 1968), not identied, Jo- seph Thomas Edmonds (b. 1897 d.1911), Mr. Elmore. Front Row L to R Sam Edmonds (b. 1867 d. 1937), Luda May Wilson Edmonds (b. 1874 d. 1968), couple, not identied. Sam and Luda were parents of Sammie, Annella and Joe Tom Edmonds. They also had another daughter, Sarah Price Edmonds (Barnes), (b.1910 d.1999). The old Edmonds’ Home is located in Eagleville, the 2nd house west of Eagleville School on Highway 99. This photograph was taken about 1904-05. Sam Edmonds was in partnership with his father operating the J. S. Edmonds and Son Funeral Undertakers about 1900. He owned and oper- ated a black-smith shop south of the Las Fi- esta Restaurant on main street in the early the 1900’s and also was an inventor and busi- ness partner, with his brother S. O. (Dump) Edmonds.
