Originally designed in 1962, Eames Tandem Sling Seating has stood the test of time and provided a comfortable place for millions waiting in airports, train stations, and other public spaces throughout the years. The product first appeared in Chicago O’Hare Airport and Washington D.C. Dulles Airport, and its iconic form can now be found around the world.

With so many configuration options, the seating easily meets facility needs, and its sleek look complements spaces without overwhelming them. Integrated power allows people to relax and plug in when they need it most, giving people a pleasing place to recharge, hassle-free.

A design icon thanks to its timeless form and function, Eames Tandem seats feature a clean, contemporary design to add style and comfort to public waiting spaces. Durable construction requires minimal maintenance and features interchangeable seat, back, and arm pads that can easily be replaced on site. Charging modules—each with a combination USB-A and -C port and simplex power options—are distributed evenly among seats and tables.

Backed by a 12-year warranty, Eames Tandem Sling Seating has a look and feel people enjoy and the performance terminal operators require.

Design

Since 1962, Eames Tandem Sling Seating has comfortably and reliably served millions of travelers each day. Wide, padded seats and an open seat-to-back angle welcome people to savor the space even through a long layover or delay. The support beam design leaves plenty of room underneath for baggage, keeping walkways clear. To elevate the design for today’s travelers, we have added tables with integrated power modules between seats at the ends of each run of seating. Research shows proximity to power and a surface for placing items—two important features travelers desire—will help fill more seats and keep people at ease during their stay.
