Earths shape Did you know that our Earth is not round? Our planet Earth is
actually geiod in shape.
Time The oceans on Earth cover 70% of
earth’s surface. That means that there is more than half the amount of water on earth than land, Our planet takes
23 hours 56 minutes and 4.091 seconds to rotate around the axis.
Earth’s placement in the Solar system.
Did you know that Earth is the third planet from the sun, Earth is placed in the perfect living atmosphere, If the earth was farther back in the solar system then we would not
have suitable living conditions. In other words the earth could not be in a better place.
Earth is the only planet that we know of with living species.
MPHThe earth moves at 1,070 mph. The speed decreases
as you move to a higher latitude because the circle is
smaller.
Amount of nitrogen and oxygen. Our earth consist of 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.
This is the perfect amount of nitrogen and oxygen to live and be able to breath!
•We move along the orbit at almost 30 kilometers per second or just over 67,000 miles per hour.
Density
The density of our Earth is 5.513 g/cm.
Did you know that Earth has Northern Lights? Well the lights display is resembling a slow moving ribbon slightly adulating in the sky! This is called the Aurora Borealis.
Why do you think Earth is unique?
Well Derek, Jacob, and me think one very unique thing about Earth is the fact that
water in it’s liquid form at the surface.
Why we think Earth is remarkable.
Derek, Jacob, and me think Earth is remarkable because of its
water. There is not to much to cover the mountains and not to
little to dry the desert.
Interesting Fact
Did you know that Earth holds onto its water? Other planet’s water dries
up or Evaporates.
