Thank You Church Family, Thank you for all the cards, flowers and visits on my moms birthday. They are all appreciated. Love to you all, Sharon Russell, Dennis & Gary Thompson East Point Family, Thank you to everyone who came and helped prepare for VBS this past Sunday night! With everyone's help a lot has been accomplished. Our next VBS work night will be May 12 at 6:00pm. Thanks, Mercedes Hayes

Cruise-In Saturday, May 7th, from 10am-2pm is the Cruise-In automotive event at Emporia Avenue Church of Christ, 1144 S. Emporia. It is a free event, lunch will be served at 11:30am. RSVP not required, but requested for food prep. Please call Matt at 316-841-1638. Ladies Bible Classs Meets every Tuesday at 10am. Bear making day and pot luck lunch day is May 10th.

Men’s Breakfast Saturday, May 14th, at 8am is the Men’s Breakfast at Emporia Avenue Church of Christ. Address is 1144 S. Emporia. Guest speaker will be Buddy Aldridge from Newton . Adventure Day Saturday, May 14th, is Adventure Day in Medicine Lodge. There we will see the Carrey Nation Home Museum, the Stockade Museum & we will take the Gypsum Hills Scenic Drive. Cake Reception There will be a cake reception on May 15th immediately after

service honoring the Senior Class of 2016. Please come show your support. College Graduates If you or a loved one will be graduating or have graduated from college since last May, please send you information to Marie at [email protected] to be recognized on Sunday May 15th!

Don Johnson Beulah Thompson is in Hospice care at Regent Park Rehabilitation Center. Blanca Ward is home and still needing prayers. Cheryl Wright had a heart stent procedure this week. They are running tests. Charles McCall’s brother, Don McCall, in Seward, NE had a heart attack, seems to be

doing well. No surgery required. Jon Forred’s mother, Pat Forred, is in St Francis hospital room 7030. She will be at St.

Francis for a week. Jim & Gladys Jefferies’ granddaughter, Annie, is in Wesley’s NICU. Charlie Delaney is having gallbladder surgery on May 4th at Kansas Medical Center.

Suzanne Oldenstadt, a former member, was released from the hospital. Vicki Karr’s sister, Kathy, has stage 4 lung and liver cancer. Please continue to pray for

Vicki’s co-worker's 2 yr old granddaughter who is battling cancer. Rion Curtis has been deployed for 6 months Expectant moms: April Barron, Sarah Batten, Rebecca Briggs, Emily Stevens and Jamie Schadegg.

VBS - Please register your child at epcofc.org, first 20 kids registered get a special prize! Please see Mercedes Hayes if you are interested in volunteering for VBS. Be sure to check the bulletin board by the kitchen for needed items. Reminder - Parents keep a look out for Children Ministry’s new monthly “Parenting Christian Children”. It gives parents tools to keep faith based conversations rele-vant at home and has the KidMin monthly Calendar. There are paper copies available on the Children’s Ministry bulletin board, and a digital copy is available on the website at http://www.epcofc.org/childrens-ministry/calendar 7yrs- 5th graders - We are rolling out our Worship Boards! They are chalk board clipboards with sermon focused puzzle pages! We will be placing them on the Journey thur Judea bulletin board! Mother’s Day - This Mother’s Day we will honor the mother’s or mother figures who have gone before us with a memorial table. Please bring a photo of your mother or mother figure anytime from now to Mother’s Day, and place them on the Welcome desk. Nursery An attended nursery is available for children up to 2 years of age in the south hall. Today’s Helpers: Jerry York, Jenae Crowley & Camdan Cooper. Mother & Baby Room There is a private area for nursing mothers behind the baptistry.

Noah’s Ark During the sermon, there is a program for children 2yrs-1st grade in the north hall. Today’s Teachers: Laurie Fluty & Hannah Weishaar (2-3yrs); Mercedes Hayes & Helper’s Needed.(4yr-1st grade). Children’s Worship Today during worship, there is a program for kids 7yrs-5th grade in the Noah’s ark room. Today’s class will be combined with Noah Ark. Helper’s Needed.

Youth Ministry Revive - Revive is tonight from 5:00-7:30pm. Cost is $5 and friends are FREE. Wichita Work Camp -Wichita Work Camp is June 6-10th. If your teen(s) plan on going, please let me know ASAP, tomorrow is the deadline. And if you haven't filled out a medical release form, please see Devin. The cost is $48 per teen. This is a great way to impact our community so I hope that your teen(s) plan on attending! Captain America: Civil War - We will be going to see the new Captain America movie this Friday, May 6th. Please have teens at the East Warren no later than 6:00 pm. Cost is $10 for the ticket. They need to eat dinner before they come or have extra money for dinner at the movie. You can pick up your teen(s) from the theatre at 9:20pm. Sign up in the teen room by this Wednesday May 4th. Senior Sunday - We will be honoring our graduating seniors, Mandy Haas and Zoe Miller, on Sunday, May 15th. There will be a cake reception immediately following services. If you are a parent/guardian of a senior and you haven't given Devin 25-30 pictures of your senior, please turn them in by this Wednesday, May 4th. Parent Meeting - There will be a short parent meeting on Sunday, May 22nd immediately following service in the fellowship hall. Please plan to attend because we will be talking about summer events!
