Cristo Rei of Dili Monument

•East Timor's Jesus Chris monument is the second colossal monument in the world. The world's largest is in Rio. The statue was made on summit of Cape Fatucama. Behind the statue there is a luxurious beach and it has a great view. The name of the beach is Cristo Rei beach. The statue was made in 1888 by the Indonesian president Soeharto.

Areia Branca Beach

•In English you can also call it White Sand Beach. Snorkeling and scuba diving is very popular in the Areia Branca beach and the best is that it is not crowded by many people. So you could sit down, relax peacefully on a chair with no irritating noise bothering you. If you go to East Timor I guarantee that you will love the scenery.

Dili (Capital City)

•Dili is East Timor's capital city. It is also the largest city in East Timor. Dili has many hotels to stay at, the average amount of money to stay per night is US $40. You could also buy VCDs, DVDs & audio CDs for a very cheap price. Dili has a lot of great portuguese food to eat. Here is some places that can splurge since things are cheap: Hotel Esplanada, Timor Plaza Hotel and Hotel East Timor. You could also book hotels there.

City of Bacau

•Bacau is the second largest city in East Timor compared to the largest city Dili. Most of the infrastructure was demolished during the riots of East Timor for independence in 1999. But some buildings survived or had to be rebuilt. Bacau mostly have been rebuilt. Ruins from some Portuguese relics are in a picture. They survived from the riot.

City of Metinaro

•The cost of Metinaro is great for scuba diving and diving. It has many colorful fish and animals. Metinaro is one of the best tourist attractions in East Timor. It has a lot of natural surroundings and tropical plants.

Lospalos

•Lospalos has an population of 17,186. They have sacred houses to live in. (Picture on the right.) Internationally the city is spelt incorrectly called Los Palos. The city's is originated from Spain. Irasiquiru river is a great place to go there are wild crocodiles there. Down stream is there is a remains of a bamboo bridge since the river sometimes gets flooded. The river is a outlet of the Lake of Iralalaro.

Atauro Island

•Atauro Island is across Wetar Strait from Dili. Atauro Island is made out of 5 districts. The largest town is named Vila Maumeta. It is very peaceful T Atauro Island and there is not much civilization there. The population of Atauro Island is 8000 people. The Island is 105km2 in area and 25km long. There are two Seasons the wet and the dry. Atauro beaches are great and it has a great scenery.
