Easter is a Christian holiday celebrated at the end of Holy Week

The 40 days before Easter is called Lent

Easter represents the beginning of Spring and new life

Easter Eggs

Painting eggs is a Easter tradition in the USA

We paint the shells of eggs in bright colors

Chocolate eggs are a popular candy

Easter Baskets

The night before Easter,children leave empty

baskets out for the Easter Bunny.

The next morning, they wake up to find eggs, candies or small toys in their basket.

He decides if children have been bad or good.

Children leave out a carrot for the Easter bunny to eat.
