  • E-Giving: Check It Out!

Due to the rising costs of the envelope

company, postage and return postage fees, St. Clare has been using e-giving as a way to make your donations to the parish more cost

    effective.

By using E-Giving, the Church can save roughly $1,200 every year by not sending envelopes and

    about $400 in postage.

If you are interested in E-Giving, but don’t feel comfortable on the computer, please

contact Jennifer in the parish office at 348-8765 for assistance.

    — Are you afraid that by doing transactions on-line, someone will be able to retrieve your account numbers? — Are you afraid it will be too complicated? — Are you to the point where the only checks you write are to the church?

    Don’t be worried!

The transaction goes from your bank to ours. It is easy to set up and maintain. If you have a Droid or Smart-based phone, you can access

your account from anywhere. St. Clare Church offers e-giving as an option for your weekly, monthly, special collections, pledge payments, or Mass requests. • Simply go to our website, stclarewesterly.com • Click on the e-giving link on our home page. • Complete the sign-up page for e-giving. Once you have signed up, there is a file that gives detailed instructions, in case you need them.

You will have full access to your transactions and records at all times. An e-mail notification is sent when the transaction is initiated and when it clears your bank. You are in control; you can print your tax statement anytime you want. Several parish families, plus our very own Fr. Ken, have been using it on a regular basis.

You can give at any frequency or amount you desire. If your contributions do not change, you can set up your giving for a defined period, or indefinitely. You can still participate in the Offertory part of the worship service by using a receipt with an envelope which you can print out and place in the collection basket. Whether you use the receipt or not, the parish office is notified of your donation, and it is properly recorded to your account.

If you have any questions, or just need help getting set up, please call Jennifer in the office at 401-348-8765 or e-mail at [email protected] .
