All of these phrases can be used to express relaxing.
You can also say them to another person to make them relax or calm down
Just take it easy and enjoy
A switch is used to turn on the light
Switch is also used as a metaphor
That’s a cool idea!
A metaphor is when you use a word or expression that creates an image or illustration in the listener’s mind - that way they can understand something better.
“He was so angry, he roared at me!”
To roar like a lion.
The sound a lion makes when attacking.
What is a metaphor?

“I am going to switch off and read a book.”
= “I’m going to relax and read a book”Tip
You can invent your own metaphors.
Important is that you use the same type of images or ideas in one sentence.
EX; “He’s the captain of his own ship”
Examples1. “Let’s go to the beach and take it
easy”
2. “I’ve been taking it easy all weekend”
3. “Work wasn’t hard today, I took it easy all day”
4. “We can sit here and take it easy for a while”
run out of = Have no more of something
“The car has run out of petrol!”
set off = Begin a journey/trip
“I’m setting off on my trip in the morning”
1. Slip up
“She slipped up on the ice”
2. Sober up
“I drank too much beer, I have to sober up”
