CONSTRUCTION PROGRES: 1.1 PREPARATION TASK: 1. Ground preparation & hygiene. - Dry clean up ground and spray water to dampen the wall. - Wipe the dust layer on the surface of bricks. 2. Mix thin-bed mortar & plaster: mix the thin-bed mortar in the large tray and the water should be calculated at the rate shown on the packaging. Step 1: Add water to the tray and then put the Eblock thin-bed mortar in slowly. Step 2: Stir the mortar by hand or use mortar stirring wings attached to the machine hand drill (can use a larger capacity mixer) 4. 2 Building task: after preparing all necessary tools, workers begins building as follows: 1. normal sand cement. With the Eblock plaster, the thickness is just 5mm – 20mm.
Step 1
- Mixing tray or large capacity mixer to mix the plaster.
- Mix Eblock plaster with water in the rate indicated on the packaging.
Step 2
- Use ruler, necessary tools to balance the appropriate wall thickness.
- Use trowel and hand scrub to plaster on the wall with the appropriate thickness. Each layer is 5 – 7mm and
5min apart as having good thickness.
- Use headings to wipe the excess mortar out. Use a scrub to remove the layer to have smooth and flat plaster
and meet the technical requirement.
3. Notes in building and plastering
- Build the bricks in the principles that no overlap between two consecutive circuits.
- The distance between two lines not less than 25% of the length of the brick.
- The appropriate thickness of mortar from 2mm – 3mm.
- When the temperature weather is high, spray a little water on its surface to humidify and have a goodadhesion.
- Don’t use mortar not later than 2 hours. Don’t use the mortar dropped out.
- There must be a link between the brick wall and column or another wall with the minimum height 600mm or3 lines.
- At the junction between the wall with beams or concrete floor, use a mixture of Epoxy adhesive which haselastic modulus, mechanical strength and high-strength adhesive to fill the gap.
- Use measures to shield the wall in the progress of building if raining.
- After 24 hours building, we can plaster and after 72 hours, we can trowel mastic.
- With pulling force of 0,78N (~78kg), wall can be installed or hang some equipment such as: air conditioner,kitchen, cupboard, bookshelf, television, etc on the wall.
- When the ambient temperature is high, we have to make water maintenance after 24 hours of plastering.
- In the wet areas like floor, kitchen, balcony, we use the water absorption solution if necessary.
5. The types of links
5.1 Links between the wall and the concrete column
The connection between Eblock block wall and concrete column is made by traditional way asleave steel on column or use the iron bass drilled with 2mm thickness in shape L.
5.2 Wall links at the corner position without concrete column
T-corner and consecutive V-corner will use the tile method and note that we need to change the block size toavoid the circuits not coincide.
