Dr. Schiefflen will present for the first 45 minutes of the webinar and field questions from you for the last 15 minutes. Dr. John Schieffelin, MD is a physician trained in adult and pediatric infectious disease. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine & Pediatrics at Tulane University in New Orleans. He serves as Clinical Director of the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium that operates a field site in Kenema, Sierra Leone. His research is focused on pathogenantibody interactions, especially neutralizing and enhancing antibodies targeted toward dengue virus and B cell epitopes of Lassa virus. Dr. Schieffelin has substantial experience working in Africa. His clinical involvement with the recent ebola outbreak took place in Sierra Leone.
