Forum public seminars

Barron Collier Jr. Foundation.
Reached over 1000 local
and seasonal residents.
Topics include manatees, sea turtles,
green boating, fishing, kayaking.
Dr. Ellen Prager, nationally recognized marine scientist and author
Helping to ensure safe navigation of Wiggins Pass Inlet
Partnering with Collier County’s Coastal Zone Management to maintain safe navigation of pass.
Conducting monthly soundings of Wiggins Pass and posting on ECA’s website to inform boaters.
Conducting science to restore the estuary Working with Florida Gulf Coast
University to map reefs and
design an oyster reef restoration
project.
Supporting local efforts to monitor
changing environmental conditions.
Seeking local sponsors to conduct
restoration of oyster reefs.
Working to protect the estuary
Sponsoring annual coastal clean-ups of the Cocohatchee estuary in partnership with Up a Creek Kayak Tours.

Hosts an annual evening seminar and social event exclusively for members and sponsors in partnership with Aqua Condominiums.
Partners with Rookery Bay Reserve in National Estuary Day events each year.
