Why the Need for ICTs in the 21st Century Classroom ? Con’d

Classrooms are sterile, Methodologies content based and irrelevant21st Century Education demands…….that we

prepare for a diverse globalised and complex media- saturated society

There is a need to change the nature of the culture of student engagement in our classrooms for a healthy

balanced and sustainable society

Why the Need for ICTs in the 21st Century Classroom ? SSS & SHS Student turnover

SHSS turns over approx. 1100 students/yr x 34 yr totaling 37,400

SSS turns over 750 students/yr x 50 totaling 37,500

50% of our current population could have been educated at SSS and SHSS………
