12 Lead ECG Integration into ieMR
12 lead ECGs have historically been scanned into the ieMR. Electronic integration of 12 lead ECGs greatly improves
clarity of ECG images and adds additional functionality when viewing the images.
In ieMR go to the Results Menu item and then the ECG tab. Ensure the date field in the grey bar meets the correct
search criteria. Double click on the ECG completed or signed (blue text) to open the image.
ECG Interpretations
All integrated ECGs can be accessed from this page by clicking on the date tabs across the top of the page. The ECG
Interpretation feeds from the ECG machine and a Medical Officer can confirm or change the Interpretation. A Standard
Interpretation can also be chosen from the dropdown menu at the base of the Interpretation area. After any changes to
interpretation ECG results are signed by the nominated Medical Officer by choosing Sign & Close.

Measurements.
Tear Off and Comparing ECGs
The Tear Off button on the PowerChart toolbar can be utilised to compare an electronic ECG with a scanned ECG. The
Results page can be ‘torn off’ from PowerChart as a separate window to allow the Results page to sit beside the Clinical
Notes View for easy comparison of ECG studies.
For more information about this functionality, refer to the Comparing Scanned and Integrated ECGs Quick Reference
Guide for more information.
