Imbedded products solve the serious safety, quality and durabil- ity problems experienced with stencils and surface mats. However, imbedded mats and synthetics tiles are very expensive, their installation is sensitive to both temperature and concrete slump, and are not repairable without replacing the entire sur- rounding concrete sidewalk.
