English GPs continue to prescribe homeopathy

The UK Faculty of Homeopathy has informed that general practitioners (GPs)

at the National Health Service (NHS) England have the right to continue prescribing homeopathic medicines. This is despite the recent court decision that dismissed claims by the British Homeopathic Association that the NHS

consultation that resulted in stopping funding for homeopathic medicines was unfair. Each GP is therefore still at liberty to prescribe as deemed fit with the patient’s consent in their consultation meeting, and neither NHS England nor

a Clinical Commissioning Group can interfere / dictate without a given doctor’s consent.

German Medical Council considers homeopathy an additional medical qualification

The German Medical Council has decided that homeopathy should continue to be an additional qualification for medical doctors. This policy, revalidated by the Medical Council, has been in place for more than 50 years. To obtain this qualification medical doctors should fulfil the training requirements established by the Medical Council. President of the German Medical Council in favour of medical homeopathy

The President of the German Medical Council, Dr Montgomery, made a public statement in favour of homeopathy. Dr Montgomery said: "It is a fact that homeopathy helps many people. It is important that those that practice homeopathy know when they can no longer help and then switch to normal conventional medical procedures". Dr Montgomery sees homeopathy as a "complementary medicine. In conjunction with good medical education, it makes sense. And it would be better if trained medical doctors p rov ide hea l th care . ” More in fo rmat ion : h t tps : / /www.homoeopathie-online.info/montgomery-praesident-der-bundesaerztekammer-spricht-sich-fuer-homoeopathie-aus/
