Project Elements:
Disinfection Contact Basins (DCB) Filtered effluent will be mixed with disinfectant (sodium hypochlorite) at filters and
conveyed to the DCBs.
One dedicated DCB (#4) will produce Title 22 effluent year-round for unrestricted reuse
DCBs (#1-3) will disinfect filtered and seasonal secondary effluent for river discharge
Unfiltered secondary effluent that is diverted during winter high flow events will be blended
with the filtered water and disinfected through DCBs (#1-3).

piping, valves, burners, flares, and system controls.

Primary Deck Structural
Repairs and Rehab
Rehabilitation, repair, and/or replacement of deteriorated
concrete, access hatches, steel cover plates and frames,
isolation gates, and other components associated with
the concrete deck that covers the Primary Process
area. Expected to be a multiple season project due to
operational constraints.

Replace old, obsolete plant control system
components. Design will follow system architecture
established for EchoWater processes, which is local
PLC controllers. This is expected to be a multi-year
project due to operational constraints.

South County Ag Recycled
Water, Phase 1Construct new pump station and conveyance pipeline to
deliver tertiary treated wastewater to agricultural
interests in south Sacramento County. Anticipate
multiple contracts for first phase improvements.
