ECinteractivePLUS®: What’s New

The Home Page• Additional Marketing/Merchandising Positions (Home page and throughout website)

• Theater Slide Show: This consists of six clickable, prominent images that scroll across the center of the page one at a time in nine second intervals. The system determines which slides to dis-play based on the shopper’s contractual restrictions. For seasonal or promotional campaigns, specify beginning and ending dates and drag-and-drop slides to prioritize them. You can also link a microsite to a slide so the microsite automatically opens when the slide is clicked. The Manage Theater Slide Show page defaults to display only active slide shows. To also display inactive, click the Active box to active check box.

• Banner Ads: These display on the left side of the shopper’s Home page. Banner ads change as the shopper leaves and returns to the Home page. You can add unlimited banner ads on the Marketing Dashboard and set them to randomly display. You can also link a microsite to a ban-ner ad, so the microsite automatically opens when the banner ad is clicked. You can also use Marketing Settings to disable banner ads on the shopper’s Home page. The Manage Banner Ads page defaults to display only active slide shows. To also display inactive, click the Active box to active check box.

• Spotlight Items: These display as a group of items on the shopper’s Home page. This feature al-lows you to specify a priority ranking order to determine where the item appears in the group: 1, 2, 3, and so on. Use Dealer Marketing Settings to add unlimited images that can randomly rotate using the same positions as the priority ranking order option. You can also customize the title of the Spotlight Item zone, as well as choose to display Spotlight Items, Web Specials, or both. In addition, you can disable Spotlight Items for specific Marketing Settings groups. The Manage Spotlight Items page defaults to display only active slide shows. To also display inactive, click the Active box to active check box.

• Custom Header/Footer/Sidebars: Four dealer-custom header, footer, and two sidebar zones are designed to provide more flexibility to promote green initiatives, contests, coupon codes, social networks, videos, and much more.

• The Search box is large and prominent. After the shopper initiates a search, the Search button is disabled until the search results are displayed.

• Quickly view the last four carted items. Click the View Cart link to see the last four items added to the cart.

• Category Search uses a colorful, eye-catching horizontal menu.

• There is a new logo dimension limit: 82 pixels maximum height and 212 pixels maximum width.

• Categories were enhanced to use custom text for long P/O and short P/O messages when requirements are not met.

• Allow Invoicing was added to the Checkout Settings. Shoppers must enable this setting before they can checkout and bill on account.

• The Home page includes a useful Checkout Review page, which includes the default for required boxes, but is not pre-populated.

Page 6: ECinteractivePLUS®: What’s Newsupport.ecisolutions.com/doc-ecinteractive/release/plus/... · 2020-02-18 · 5 continue to next page ECinteractivePLUS: What’s New The Home Page

• You can now customize the Home link’s URL at the top of the page. You can also connect the site’s Home link and the Home icon shown on the Checkout page to a separate landing page when one is in use. Maintain this option using the Admin Site Customizing, Site Links page.

Additional Enhancements and ImprovementsECinteractivePLUS® continues to change and improve to provide a more enjoyable shopping experience and enable your end users to more easily place orders. approval setup descriptions, reason for user preferences, and so on at the account and customer level, as well as in an approval group. This form includes standard details associated with a credit return request, as well as customizable text that can be used to describe the credit return policy. This form also provides additional instructions. The information displayed on the form can be changed by adding and hiding order and item details. Shoppers can access the form from the My Account drop-down menu. It is also available on the Order History and Items Recently Purchased pages. The form automatically completes information with available data, including the item number, item description, order quantity, and shopper details. For more information, see Credit Returns.

• Enhanced by adding a Cancel option if the shopper chooses to cancel the request before it is emailed.

Customize Browser Tab Text & Use Clean/User-Friendly Browser URLs• Added the ability to create custom browser tab text using Site Preference settings. Most internet
