Back Using 5mm (US8) needles cast on 69 (75, 81, 87, 93, 99) sts and work in rib for 20 rows, incr. 15 sts evenly across last row – 84 (90, 96, 102, 108, 114) sts Change to 6mm (US10) needles and work patt. as foll: Row 1:  Double rib (k2, p2 to end of row) Row 2:  Double rib  Row 3:  Knit Row 4:  Knit These 4 rows form the patt.  Cont. in patt. until back measures 21” (21”, 21”, 21”, 22”, 22”), or desired length, finishing on a wrong side row. Next row:  BO22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32), patt. 40 (42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52) and leave on holder, BO22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32).  Left Front *Using 5mm (US8) needles cast on 30 (33, 36, 39, 42, 45) sts and work in rib for 20 rows, incr. 6 (7, 8, 7, 8, 7) sts evenly across last row – 36 (40, 44, 46, 50, 52) sts Change to 6mm (US10) needles and work in the 4 rows of patt. the same as the back until front measures 3” shorter than back, finishing on a wrong side row.* Dec. 5 sts at end of next row for neck shaping **Dec. 1 st at neck edge on next and every row to 22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32) sts. Cont. without shaping until front measures same as back.  BO.**  Right Front Work the same as for left front from * to *. Dec. 5 sts at beg. next row for neck shaping. Work the same as for left front from ** to **.  Sleeves (make 2 the same) Using 5mm (US8) needles cast on 40 (40, 42, 42, 44, 44) sts and work in rib for 20 rows, incr. 6 sts evenly across last row ‐ 46 (46, 48, 48, 50, 50) sts. Change to 6mm (US10) needles and work in stst, incr. 1 st at each end of 7th and foll. 6th rows to 66 (66, 68, 68, 70, 70) sts, then every foll. 8th row to 70 (70, 72, 72, 74, 74) sts, finishing on a right side row. Work 1 row.

Incr. 1 st at each end next and every alt. rows to 88 (88, 90, 90, 92, 92) sts. Work 3 rows.  Inc. 1 st at each end of next row – 90 (90, 92, 92, 94, 94) sts. Work without shaping until sleeve measures 19” (19”, 19”, 19”, 20”, 20”) or desired length.  BO loosely.  Right Front Band Using 5mm (US8) needles pick up 128 (128, 128, 128, 133, 133) sts for right front band.  Work in rib for 3 rows.   Next row:  Rib 3,* yrn to m1, k2tog, rib 19 (19, 19, 19, 20, 20), rep. from * 4 times, **yrn to m1, k2tog, rib 6, rep. from ** once, rib 2. Work in rib for 3 rows.  BO.  Left Front Band Using 5mm (US8) needles pick up 128 (128, 128, 128, 133, 133) sts for left front band.  Work in rib for 7 rows.  BO.  Hood Right side of hood With right sides together, sew fronts to back at shoulder seams.  With right side facing, pick up 26 (26, 26, 26, 28, 28) sts for right front hood, k20 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) sts from holder (leave remaining sts on holder) – 46 (47, 48, 49, 52, 53) sts.  Change to 6mm (US10) needles. Turn and incr. 1 st at beg next row. ***Cont. working in stst, incr. 1 st at the hood  back seam on every  4th row to 64 (64, 66, 66, 68, 68) sts, AT THE SAME TIME work the 6 sts on the face edge in garter st. Work without shaping until hood measures 13”.  BO.*** Left side of hood With right side facing place 20 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) sts from holder onto 5mm (US8) needle and pick up another  26 (26, 26, 26, 28, 28) sts to beg. right front band – 46 (47, 48, 49, 52, 53)  sts.  Change to 6mm (US10) needles. Next row:  K6, p to end of row. Incr. 1 st at hood back seam on next row, then rep. from *** to ***.  Finishing With right sides together sew hood back seam.  Sew sleeves into place.  Sew sleeve and side seams.  Sew on buttons and tie in ends.
