Quick Start Guide 1 rev. 8.10.16 eContracting Finance Source Paper Out® Paper Out® User Permissions In order for a user to complete a Paper Out® request, the user must have both the ‘Paper Out® Contract’, and ‘FS eContracting View’ permissions. Permissions may be assigned by the Finance Source Administrator within the ‘Users’ page from the Admin tab. o NOTE: All Finance Source Administrators already have these permissions assigned to them to Paper Out® an eContract. Requesting a Paper Out® A Paper Out® request can be made any time after the contract is ‘Booked’ by the finance source. The contract must be in ‘Booked’ status before it can be Papered Out®. To request a Paper Out®, navigate to the ‘Deal Search’ page to find the ‘Booked’ deal you wish to Paper Out®. Select the ‘View Contract Summary’ option from the ‘Actions’ column of that deal. Within the contract package of the contract, click the ‘Convert to Paper Contract (Paper Out®)’ button. Within the pop up window, complete the following actions:

Paper Out® User Permissions In order for a user to complete a Paper Out® request, the user must have both the ‘Paper Out® Contract’, and ‘FS

eContracting View’ permissions. Permissions may be assigned by the Finance Source Administrator within the ‘Users’ page from the Admin tab.

o NOTE: All Finance Source Administrators already have these permissions assigned to them to Paper Out® an eContract.

Requesting a Paper Out® A Paper Out® request can be made any time after the contract is ‘Booked’ by the finance source. The contract must be in ‘Booked’ status before it can be Papered Out®.

To request a Paper Out®, navigate to the ‘Deal Search’ page to find the ‘Booked’ deal you wish to Paper Out®. Select the ‘View Contract Summary’ option from the ‘Actions’ column of that deal.

Within the contract package of the contract, click the ‘Convert to Paper Contract (Paper Out®)’ button.

Within the pop up window, complete the following actions:

You will then be presented with a second pop up window asking you to confirm your request.

To confirm your request, click the ‘Confirm Request’ button. o NOTE: You cannot revert back to an eContract after completing this step.

The Contract Package page will reload and a new section below the eDocuments will appear, which will contain the status of your Paper Out® request and the available actions.

Indicate that you have reviewed and agree to the

terms outlined in the Certificate of Original Document.

Indicate whether a retention copy should

be kept or not.

Select a reason for requesting the Paper

Out®.

Printing a Paper Out® Request It is extremely important that the printing steps outlined in this document are followed exactly as specified. RouteOne recommends using Internet Explorer® when printing Paper Out® requests, to minimize the risk of printing the documents incorrectly.

Within the Contract Summary, click the ‘Print’ button from the ‘Paper Out® Request’ section. o NOTE: If the Assignment Form was provided, it will be printed with the contract package.

The print dialog window will open with instructions for ensuring the printing process is completed successfully. Click the ‘Print’ button to open the PDF containing the eContract documents.

A new browser window will open with the PDF containing all of the Paper Out® documents.

Within the PDF, find the Retail Installment Contract or Lease Agreement page, and ensure the following information is present in the footer:

o Document Control Number o eOriginal Transaction Text o Notation Indicating Document is the ‘Original’ o Paper Out® Conversion Timestamp

After you have confirmed that the information is present in the footer: o Click the ‘Print’ icon on the PDF package to open the printer dialog box.

o Ensure the ‘Shrink oversized pages’ option is selected, and click the ‘Print’ button. NOTE: If this is not selected, your documents may not print correctly.

Review the printed documents and inspect the footer of the Retail Installment Contract or Lease Agreement to ensure the footer text printed correctly.

After ensuring the documents printed correctly, you may complete the print dialog window by clicking the ‘Confirm’ button.

Find the Paper Out® Request section, click the ‘Complete’ button.

In the pop up window, click the ‘Complete the Paper Out®’ request. o NOTE: Once the ‘Complete Paper Out®’ button is clicked, you will no longer be able to print the Authoritative

paper contract.

Commonly Asked Questions Can I convert back to an eContract after I request a Paper Out®?

No, once a Paper Out® request has been initiated you cannot convert back to an eContract. The only option moving forward is to print the requested paper contract.

Which documents are included in the Paper Out® process?

The following documents are included: Blank Assignment Form (if provided by finance source), the Certificate of Original Document, the Contract and Electronic Ancillaries, the Paper Out® Request Details, and the Document History Report.

What do I do if I experience problems during the Paper Out® process?
