You will travel through a vast refuge for hundreds of plant and animal species of great importance, many of which only exist in this area.It will not be easy for you to forget the groups of deer in the Cañada de las Fuentes, or griffon vultures above La Peñade los Halcones. You will enjoy waterfalls, streams and ponds which have the priviledge of feeding in the most important river of Andalusia: the Guadalquivir or "Rio Grande", as Arabs used to call it. Only in this country, thirty endemic mountains can be found, that are plants that can hardly be found anywhere else in the world. But the most characteristic are the large mammals, ibex, mouflons in El Estrecho de los Perales, apart from deers, roe deers and wild boars that will pass near you.If you look into the sky, there are over 150 species of birds: eagles, kites and hawks that await the return of the bearded vulture, the mythical vulture which disappeared 20 years ago in these mountains. It is now in recovery project.In Cazorla, beautiful buildings surrounded by legend, culture and cuisine await you. La Iruela will amaze you with its spectacular Templar castle. In Quesada, you will meet Zabaleta Museum, and in Peal de Becerro you can visit the burial chamber of Toya, one of the most fascinating Iberian monuments of Spain.Travelling through these paths you can recall the journeys of Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente, who are still living in La Nava de San Pedro and El Collado de la Zarca, where a solemn black pine specimen bears his name and every visitor remembers his respect and passion for nature.

Canyoning.This activity takes place in la cerrada del Utrero, and it consists on going down the riverbed (Guadalquivir), accompanied and guided by one or two experts monitors, jumping into pools, rappelling and avoiding the obstacles. It is a large ravine with easy access to all its pools except the Poza de la ventana,, making it an ideal ravine for initiation. Rural accommodation in the village of The Iruela, in the plain of Cañamares, a small river of clear water and well preserved brooklet vegetation. The estate which houses this Center for AgrotourismEnvironmental Education has everything you need to enjoy nature and enjoy a wide variety of activities.The Center also has an old farmhouse refurbished and perfectly equipped to stay and relax after the bustle of the day. Its facilities allow it to offer two types of accommodation: on the one hand, it functions as a comfortable cottage equipped with 8 bedrooms (all of them with bathroom) and a maximum capacity of 22 people and on the other hand, as rural shelter that welcomes groups up to 60 people, which can stay in spacious rooms with bath for 8, 6, 4 or 2 people.
