The Yearbook Staff will not alter the layout, add or delete pictures or text blocks, or change the size of pictures, except for layout F4, unless necessary due to the photos you provide. We may also use colored backgrounds and photo effects to help emphasize a student's
personality and to help distinguish a style for each ad.
STEP2: Include photos
Photo Submission Guidelines: Photos may be color, black and white, or sepia. All photos must be clearly labeled on the back with the student 's name and the corresponding photo block number from the layout showing where you want each picture to appear in the ad. Please label the photo with pencil or with an adhesive mailing label to avoid any marks showing through when the photo is scanned. We will do our best to return original photos. However, we recommend sending in quality copies rather than irreplaceable originals. Please note that we will not accept collages because they do not reproduce well. Photos may also be submitted digitally on CD, flash drive, or by email to [email protected].
When deciding which photos will be placed in the appropriate blocks, remember to choose
landscape (horizontal) photos for spaces in the layout showing that orientation and do the same when placing portrait (vertical) photos. Each will look best when placed into the correctly formatted photo block.
The Yearbook Staff will enlarge or reduce your photos as necessary. We will also crop the
picture to its best advantage when needed.
EISD reserves the right to reject photos or text or ask that changes be made to conform to
the District's standards. NO photos containing alcohol, tobacco, or inappropriate dress will
be accepted. This includes nude baby photos.

STEP4: Write your message to the student
Please print your text legibly on the ad order form or attach a typed copy. We will choose a font for your text when we compose your ad. We will also correct grammar, punctuation and spelling errors. Please let us know if a particular word needs to be spelled purposefully
incorrectly. Take into account the size of your ad when writing your message to the student. A large quantity of text in any ad will end up being set in a very small font making it difficult to read.

Please bear in mind that this is a student-produced publication. Errors may occur in any publication of this size and scope. Please be assured, however, that your Senior Ad is very
important to us. We will do our best to preserve your family's treasured memories in a dedication which you will cherish for years to come. Therefore, we will send you a proof of your requested senior ad. Please advise us as quickly as possible if there are any corrections to be made. This will not be an opportunity to rewrite your ad or to change your picture selection, but to correct any errors that may appear at that time. We will contact you when the ad proof is ready. We will attempt to handle as much of this process by email as possible.
