Dear Desalites,

The Academic

Year has begun

with a boom of

quality intake

of freshers who

are enthusiastic

and energetic.

The students’

elections that took the students by surprise were a

record. It was a great success indeed as the election

commission planned and executed the whole elec-

toral process in two hours which usually would take

two days.

The acceleration placed on the academic success of

the students, the weight on research and publications

of the staff, the facilities provided for the entire De-

salite body would place all of you in a better position

than those who are out. I earnestly believe that all

these efforts do not drain down the purpose of the

college’s motto “Excellence, Transformation and

Efficiency”. Wish you all a great, joyful, suc-

cessful and memorable academic year.

On 23rd June, the DSAT (DeSales

Scholarship Test) Examination was

conducted for this Academic Year.

233 students appeared from all the

courses. From the department of BBA

23 students appeared, out of which 2

students got eligibility for the schol-

arship from the Management. We

congratulate both of them for their

maiden success in the college

Meet Mr N.S. Narendra. He

is the founder of “Fire Pro

Systems” - a company that

provides integrated solutions

for fire protection, security

and building management systems.

This first-generation entrepreneur founded the com-

pany in 1992. “Fire Pro Systems” provides services

in real estate, building management and security in-

dustries. The earned revenue is 700 Cr.

It is tied up to Panasonic Corporation in Japan and

plays a major part in the same. The organization has

around 1300 employees.

Day- 3: 19th July 2017 Mr Karthik gave in-

puts on dividend policy decisions and he sup-

ported the students by solving practical prob-

lems . We are Proud of You!

The Results of BBA final years (2014-17) was pub-

lished on 30th June 2017. Eight students achieved an

outstanding score of Distinction while five students

scored First Class Exemplary. The Department is

proud of the achievements of the students and ex-

pects to scale greater heights in the coming years.

Tally Course

The department organised a certifi-

cate course for BBA and Bcom fi-

nal year students (2013-16) . Total

of 60 students attended the

course .It is a package of tally and

personality development . It was

conducted by Ants consulting ser-

vices pvt ltd , the certified skill

developers in India . The results

were published in June and all

passed with flying colours .

Bridge Course

Bridge course is con-

ducted in order to sup-

port the first year stu-

dents to prepare them-

selves for the full level

curriculum. The depart-

ment of Business Ad-

ministration conducted this course from 19th to 21st

June. During the course Fundamentals of accoun-

tancy, Quantitative methods for business were taken

by the department faculties. English, Kannada,

Hindi, classes were also conducted by the respective

department faculty members. On 20th Mr. Michael

Kurian from USA shared some vital information re-

lated to personality development, communication

skill and techniques while addressing the public.

This course helped the students to recall the basics of

few subjects which they are going to have in their

curriculum.
