Editing Log In my editing log I started uploading my footages onto the ‘adobe element’ software and started gathering my entire project together to finally start producing my trailer. 29 th Jan – I added all my files from my hard drive onto my documents, and then started collating my footages in separate folders so that it could be easier for me to locate where I could select different videos and my work would be neatly organised. 8 th Feb – I started editing some of the footage, shortening the length of the videos, adding the effects, soundtracks, inter titles etc. reason being for these edits were because the effects made the opening of each scene look more interesting and creative. I shortened the clips to make them more of a fast paced footage In order to give my trailer that thriller convention and atmosphere. Adding the soundtrack made the footages have more of a background flow, rather than having just a plain, dull scene.

Editing Log

In my editing log I started uploading my footages onto the ‘adobe element’ software and started gathering my entire project together to finally start producing my trailer.

29th Jan – I added all my files from my hard drive onto my documents, and then started collating my footages in separate folders so that it could be easier for me to locate where I could select different videos and my work would be neatly organised.

8th Feb – I started editing some of the footage, shortening the length of the videos, adding the effects, soundtracks, inter titles etc. reason being for these edits were because the effects made the opening of each scene look more interesting and creative. I shortened the clips to make them more of a fast paced footage In order to give my trailer that thriller convention and atmosphere. Adding the soundtrack made the footages have more of a background flow, rather than having just a plain, dull scene.

15th Feb – I myself had to re-film a scene to then add it back on to my trailer. This change was made because the lighting was very poor and it wasn’t clear to see what was actually going on in that specific scene. I decided to have the lights in the background on, and the curtains open for more background light, this was redone in Kimo’s house.

22nd Feb – On this date I searched up some thriller related soundtracks on YouTube that I thought would be convenient for my trailer and would fit in best. I listened to different soundtracks and sound effects and judged which would go well. After I selected the best one, I added it onto my editing program then re-arranged the clips to make sure that the acting and dialogue wouldn’t be interrupted or clash with the soundtrack.

4th Mar – I got some feedback on what students and teachers thought about my trailer, and took on the views to then change my project a bit. I added the social media icons at the end of my trailer to advertise it and share it through publicity. This was just a realistic idea I had that actually occurs in in real life trailers.
