What Mentors Say
NN
To be a successful leader, we need other people’s
intelligence and other people’s cooperation. We need to
be able to attract into our life and work the help,
assistance, influence and active involvement of lots of
other people in achieving our goals. Let me narrate a
funny but interesting story which tells us the importance
of being useful to others that makes us lovable &
respectable in our organization.
Once a stranded tiger entered the washroom of a
corporate office and hid itself in a dark corner. As there
was always human movements outside, the tiger was
afraid of coming out. Many persons frequented the
washroom, but the frightened tiger did not attack any
one.
But after four days it could not bear the pangs of hunger
and caught the man who went in and ate him up. This
man happened to be an Assistant General Manger of the
organization, but nobody noticed his disappearance. Since
nothing happened by way of attacking, the man
tiger became more daring and after two days caught
another man and ate him. This man was the General
Manager of the organization. Still nobody worried abo
his disappearance (some people were even happy that he
was not in the office).
The next day, the tiger caught the Vice President who was
a terror in the organization. Again, no one tried to finish
off the tiger. The tiger was very happy and decided that
this was the right place for it to live.

The story tells us, it is not the position but usefulness
to others that makes one lovable and respectable. We
need to realize the fact that, no matter how
independent we are as individuals, we depend upon
others to define ourselves and create purpose in our
lives.
Let me share with you seven things we need to do in an
organization which form the basis for effective work
relationships. These are the actions we should take to
create a positive work environment for people:
1) Talk about solutions-
of the people spend lot of time identifying only
problems. That's something any one can do. But the
solutions to the problems are the challenge that will
earn respect and admiration from team members and
leaders.
2) Never play the blame game:

us. But, we may need to identify who was involve

system which caused the team member to fail. Instead
if we say, it’s not my fault and publicly blaming others

help us to fail. All we need is

4) Don’t blind side a team member, manager, or people
reporting to you: If a team member hears about a
problem related to him through an email sent to his
superior, we have blindsided that team member. It’s
better to discuss problems with the people directly
involved. We will never build effective work relationships
unless our team members trust us.
5) Keep our words: In every organization, the jobs are
interlinked. When we fail to meet deadlines or
commitments given, we affect the work of other team
members. It’s important to keep up our words, and if we
can't, make sure all affected team members know what
happened. Give a new due date and make every possible
effort to honor the new deadline.
6) Give full credit for accomplishments, ideas, and
contributions: Can we accomplish a goal or complete a
task with no help from others? As a leader, how many of
the great ideas we promote were contributed by our
team members? Take time and energy to thank,
recognize, and reward the contributions of the team
members who help us succeed.
7) Help other team members to find their
potential: Every team members in our organization has
talents, skills, and experience. If we can help them to
harness their best abilities, the entire organization will
grow. Let’s compliment, recognize, praise, and value
contributions. By doing this, team members do find and
contribute their best.
Like Brain Tracy says, we can accomplish anything we
want in life by simply finding ways to help other people to
accomplish their goals in life. And the more creative we
are in leveraging and multiplying our talents and abilities
times the talents and abilities of others, the higher we
can rise and the faster we can move forward in our life.

I think, common problem of modern man today is losing, making off or formatting the mobile, laptop or desktop, the information gadgets. Hope you got my idea, the reason behind to jot down this article is simple which is preceded by a formatting of my laptop. For this Dell, it is for the first time, but it was not the same with my old but first Compaq which was formatted for more than 8 times! Most of the time, about my laptop, it is my friend Nikhil who came with solutions. So I am able to write these lines with the newly formatted laptop and with more GB in its heart! Thus I believe, change or loss is unavoidable.
I have started to use the mobile since mid 90s, since then I have lost nine or ten mobiles (or more?) and formatted both devices many times (You may know people who are better in losing the devise more frequently…!). In all these events and machines, it is interesting that the first phase of the lost is a feeling of great pain. That would be extended for a maximum of two days. I became panic over the lost files, data, contact details, etc no matter whether it is the laptop or mobile. Then how could I continue my life or even survive? Though, it was momentary but felt like to be in a fix. It is like being alone, tied up, fixed or in a prison.
Hope we are in the same boat for sometimes. Did you really try to understand the real situation in its details? Usually
within a day or hour we decide to buy a new device or to format it. That is the only remaining solution or choice. Even
if it is so, imagine that you are reluctant to accept the reality and do not want to act upon it. What will be the result?
Cry over the spilt milk is, as we all know, mere waste and most of the time a disturbance, as well. To act upon it is so
relieving and positive. Indeed we make the right decision to continue our life with its original rhythm and pace. Dealing
with our loss we must be practical. Our life flows forward not backward. The inevitable part of each loss or change is
that it is, for most of the time, offering us a better performance or new momentum. However, the only parameter is
how best and fast we are there to accept the call for change or restart instead of cursing somebody or something.
ACCEPT CALL FOR CHANGE OR FORMATTING
MOTIVATIONAL
Inner Drive to Succeed
Entrepreneurs are driven to succeed and expand their
business. They see the bigger picture and are often very
ambitious. Entrepreneurs set massive goals for themselves
and stay committed to achieving them regardless of the
obstacles that get in the way.
Strong Belief in themselves
Successful entrepreneurs have a healthy opinion of
themselves and often have a strong and assertive
personality. They are focused and determined to achieve
their goals and believe completely in their ability to achieve
them. Their self optimism can often been seen by others as
flamboyance or arrogance but entrepreneurs are just too
focused to spend too much time thinking about un-
constructive criticism.
Search for New Ideas and Innovation
All entrepreneurs have a passionate desire to do things
better and to improve their products or service. They are
constantly looking for ways to improve. They're creative,
innovative and resourceful.
Openness to Change
If something is not working for them they simply change.
Entrepreneurs know the importance of keeping on top of
their industry and the only way to being number one is to
evolve and change with the times. They're up to date with
the latest technology or service techniques and are always
ready to change if they see a new opportunity arise.
Competitive by Nature
Successful entrepreneurs thrive on competition. The
only way to reach their goals and live up to their self
imposed high standards is to compete with other
successful businesses.
Highly Motivated and Energetic
Entrepreneurs are always on the move, full of energy
and highly motivated. They are driven to succeed and
have an abundance of self motivation. The high
standards and ambition of many entrepreneurs
demand that they have to be motivated!
Accepting of Constructive Criticism and Rejection
Innovative entrepreneurs are often at the forefront of
their industry so they hear the words "it can't be done"
quite a bit. They readjust their path if the criticism is
constructive and useful to their overall plan, otherwise
they will simply disregard the comments as pessimism.
Also, the best entrepreneurs know that rejection and
obstacles are a part of any leading business and they
deal with them appropriately.
True entrepreneurs are resourceful, passionate and
driven to succeed and improve. They're pioneers and
are comfortable fighting on the frontline The great ones
are ready to be laughed at and criticized in the
beginning because they can see their path ahead and
are too busy working towards their dream.
Being an entrepreneur is about more than just starting a business or two, it is about having attitude and the
drive to succeed in business. All successful Entrepreneurs have a similar way of thinking and posses several key
personal qualities that make them so successful in business. Successful entrepreneurs like the ambitious
Richard Branson have an inner drive to succeed and grow their business, rather than having a Harvard Business
degree or technical knowledge in a particular field.

Foreign exchange goes online
with www.extravelmoney.com
India IT news | 4th September 2014
With the aim to ease the cumbersome task of changing foreign currency into Indian rupees or Indian rupees to any other
currencies for travel purpose without losing its prevailing current exchange value, Kochi-based Finex Forex and Veeble Softech
has launched an online foreign exchange service – extravelmoney.com. Mr. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Chairman V-Guard
Industries launched the online foreign exchange service at a function held here today.
With this new service, any traveler who needs to buy or sell foreign currencies and travel money card can register by
visiting www.extravelmoney.com and can Place the order. Customer will get the live exchange rate and choose an authorized
money exchanging firm from the given list to provide the service. The most attractive factor of this service, however, is that
the customer can do the entire transaction online from the comforts of his home, office or hotel. Extravelmoney.com is an
online aggregation platform for authorized money exchangers to help customers to get maximum exchange rate for their
currency in every transaction. It also helps foreign currency dealers reach a larger customer base to provide the service. The

a larger customer base. Muthoot Forex Ltd. has joined hands as a privileged service agent with extravelmoney.com to serve
online orders nationwide.
Mr. Ajin Baby, Chief Operating Officer, Veeble Softtech (P) Ltd. said that it is a platform where a customer can compare
money exchange and outward money transfer rates online. “Authorized moneychangers and banks will participate and list
their exchange rates online. The customer can choose the nearest location and avail travel money (forex) transactions.
Banks, NRIs, foreigners, Resident Indians, Corporates, Travel Agencies, Foreign Education Students etc. can participate. A
customer can generate his forex estimate and easily block the exchange rate. He can visit his selected tied up location for
completing transaction and door step delivery is also available.”
Mr.George Zachariah Managing Director and CEO of Finex Forex said, “It is the first such initiative in India, with equal online
and offline infrastructural support. We plan to add 8000 money changing outlets to extravelmoney.com across India, by the
end of 2014. This huge logistical base will help the venture tap the $35billion market of currency exchange in India, 60-65 per
cent of which at present comes from travel currency cards and cash. Earlier travellers had to depend many times on airport
counters or banks for changing currencies at high charges and margins. With extravelmoney.com we hope to do away with this
inconvenience for our customers.”
The idea of an online foreign currency transaction was mooted at an entrepreneurial training programme organised by K
Chittilapilly Foundation last December. One of the problems faced by business travellers came up for discussion was about
foreign exchange. The directors of Finex Forex and Veeble ended up with the decision to launch this online service with the
full support and blessings of Kochouseph Chittilapilly.

A decade back, while doing my studies, I was inspired with a Quote from “Wings of Fire” by Dr. APJ:- “When the student is
ready, the teacher will appear.” I was ready to learn, many mentors passed through my life, I learned from them and still it
is happening to me. Sitting in the workshop - VijayeeBhava, the Entrepreneur Development Program conducted by Mr,
Kochouseph Chittilappilly, on Behalf of K Chittilappilly Foundation. Once again I am cherished with the same Quotes. It is an
eight day program, organized by one of the renowned industrialists in India to inspire young entrepreneurs in Kerala.
Perhaps you may doubt about the purpose of this notes, for me this could be the easiest way to note the essence of the
sessions in the Program. Even if everything I learned in the program will persist in my remembrance for sure, but I wish to
share the knowledge with the public hoping the program could extend to those who wish to come forward with tremendous
projects that will benefit the state and the nation at large.
Perhaps this blog would help my colleagues too, the information I learned from some of the most successful personalities in
Kerala could help them personally and help them to better contribute to my organization as well.
I have the gusto to seek for good opportunities; each opportunity teaches me new things; I keep my wallet open for new-
new stuffs. I have never been to any Business Schools to learn common business dos. I observe people and organizations, I
listen people and experts as such I learned some few of Customer Service, HR Activities, Sales, Marketing, Management,
Business relations etc. I believe “Vijayee Bhava” is such a marvelous opportunity for myself to learn from some of the
internationally acclaimed business brains from Kerala. I consider myself at the bottom of the ladder, making sincere efforts
to climb, and learning from surroundings and from those who walk ahead me.
Here, in the workshop, I met 33 young multi talented entrepreneurs’ hails from various part of Kerala. Apart from them, I
got the chance to meet eminent business personals, trainers, inventors and lot others. Each acquaintance is a life time
reward for the entrepreneur in myself. Rather naming each of them at this time, progressively I wish to share experiences
with each of them.
The passion we are showing to attend the session in this workshop is multi fold to passion we had at our school/college days
to attend classes.
First day we had a session about the importance of communication. Mr. Shamim Rafeek, ( CEO, WinnerInYou.Com ) was
illustrating the power of communication with a practical music example with the help of our group members. The session
was concluded with a message “Communication on time will reduce the risk of failure.”..Just nothing other than perfect
communication.
Yes, I wish to communicate my thoughts with you people. The thoughts of a listener, these are the thoughts of a person
who is still at the bottom of the ladder but very passionate to climb, I am the only one responsible person for if any
mistakes in this blog serious.. Not by any of the eminent speakers/trainers in the program.. once again if you think that if
anything went wrong.. its all about my understanding..
I started this blog by quoting from “Wings of Fire”, let me conclude with another sayings which forcing me to dream again
and again..
“Desire, when it stems from the heart and spirit, when it is pure and intense, possesses awesome electromagnetic energy.
This energy is released into the ether each night, as the mind falls into the sleep state. Each morning it returns to the
conscious state reinforced with the cosmic currents. That which has been imaged will surely and certainly be manifested.
You can rely, young man, upon this ageless promise as surely as you can rely upon the eternally unbroken promise of
sunrise… and of Spring.”

CUSTOMER APPROACH – A QUALITY PERSPECTIVE Quality of product is not just limited to the physical product.
Quality of service is not just limited to the Service Delivery.
Quality is not just : .. putting fancy stickers .. getting Third Party Quality Certification .. displaying Quality Related Slogans.
Rather, "Quality should be interpreted as the intentional effort of the Manufacture's / Service Provider's TEAM to meet the customer requirement and resolve any issues faced by the customer in its BEST possible way"
Quality in its best sense means, a solution that
.. is developed after properly understanding the purpose of it
.. is delivered to the customer on time
.. ensures hassle free operation/result
.. gives value for money
Quality is the result of sincere efforts from the Manufacturer/service provider to continuously improve their products and services
Continuous Quality improvement can be achieved by .. taking feedback from REGULAR customers .. continuously comparing the competitors’ products and services
.. observing the way the customer uses the Products & Services and understanding the difficulties they face or possible improvement that can be introduced, even if customer is satisfied with the present solution.

What if you could sit down with one of the most successful
men or women in our society and learn their rules and lessons;
and the secret of their success that they have taken a long
time to gather? Would that help you to be more successful in
your life? And if these successful men and women are great
leaders and entrepreneurs, would that help you to be more
successful in your entrepreneurship and business too?
Obviously, listening to the secret of the entrepreneurs’
success stories will reveal great ideas on how to improve your
business life and how to discover one’s own personal success
equation.
Being a participant of Vijayeebhava Batch-2 we have got such
a privilege to sit down and learn the secret of success of
entrepreneurship through the leaders and more over, our
mentors Sri. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Mr. Satyanarayanan
and Mr. Shamim Rafeeq. I extend my sincere thanks to each of
them for providing us the best opportunity to learn and
thereby illuminated the wisdom on entrepreneurial success.
Take Home lessons from different speakers – the successful
entrepreneurs:
Among the Business tycoons, Mr. PJ Kunjachan Managing
Director of Arjuna Natural Extracts (ANEL), who aspires to
fetch ‘innovation’- to produce creative ideas, products and
services which will lead effectively to dive results. His success
mantra is ‘belief in its full sense - always.’ Listening to those
experiences made a big & positive result in our lives as an
entrepreneur.
‘How to work on different opportunities’ – this should be
learned from Mr. Alex Thomas CEO at Tierra Food India Pvt
Ltd, Ex CEO Neptune Readymix Concrete Ltd and all we have
learned from him was how to look into the future and how to
take risks because of faith.
Whether we own a proprietorship, a partnership or a Private
Ltd. Firm, at one juncture we all will try to connect and
communicate people for a right partnership. Mr. Koshy, Mg.
Director of CII Guardian, spoke about investing time with
other successful people and ways to make a right partnership
with other successful corporate.
People often say, there is no substitute for hard-work.
An intelligent lady Mr. Priya Fazil, who believed in
oneself and encouraged herself to take actions and
move forward, built her own empire ‘Dream Flower
Housing’ only through hard work, is really an inspiring
personality.
As Shiv Kera in his book ‘You Can Win’- says, “It’s not
where you are coming from, but it’s about where you
are going to” – This proves Mr. George ‘MD- Dent Care’.
A little can explain through words, but a big salute for
a great Leader for being a role model for young
entrepreneurs. He had highlighted and specifically
addressed the differences in way of thinking that
allowed him to create success both professionally and
personally. Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur
or already have a thriving business, your positive
attitude and outlook will help you create success and
accomplishments on your journey.
At the end of the day, you will learn that its the
attitude that makes a person different. All they have
made some choices in their life – and they dedicated
their life & their attitude to prove their choice right.
Wishing ‘Vijayeebhava’ to all my entrepreneurs’
friends.
Thank You.......................

nyone who is even remotely associated with Digital Media
would definitely have heard the phrase – “Content is
King”, without fail. And it actually does stand true.
Human race has been known to publish content ever since
the stone ages – first there was hieroglyphics, then came
scrolls, then printing press and now we have the internet
which has taken content publishing to a whole new level.
According to a 2012 study by Nielsen and AOL, 27 million
pieces of article are shared everyday on the internet. But
just because the number is large doesn’t necessarily mean
the quality is good. There’s noise. Lots of noise.
Content Marketing for Businesses
Businesses are tapping into the power of content to reach
out to their audience and thus giving rise to the market
term – Content Marketing. Organizations are realizing that
they need to come up with content that’s engaging and
informative for their audience to ensure growth. Like all
strategies, content marketing too requires a target,
structure, sustainable planning and execution to succeed.
Random content creation gets you nowhere.
Coca Cola is considered to be the doyens in the industry
when it comes to content marketing. From video to
podcasts to integrated campaigns to blog posts, they
cover it all to be one of the most engaging brand in Social
Media. And it’s not luck or magic – it’s willful execution of
a strong content strategy.
Challenges
A 2014 survey by Content Marketing Institute highlighted
that 64% of B2B (Business to Business) marketers are faced
with the problem of generating enough content while only
39% pointed out lack of budget as an issue. What this
could mean is that though everyone wants to do it, many
have no idea where to begin. 14% of participants in this
survey pointed out that Inability to find trained Content
Marketing Professionals is the issue faced; this number is
higher in India for sure, where only a handful of firms
focus on Content
Marketing as most firms tend to cover “360 Degree
Marketing”.
Well, expertise has its own benefits.
Content Marketing – The Industry, Role in Businesses and Scope Forward
Content Marketing Industry’s Future In India
The Content Marketing Industry is already on a roll here,
but mostly only for the big names in the industry. A good
majority of the firms do not even have an official blog for
communicating with their audience and keeping them
updated with the happenings. Yes, we have Facebook, but
to be frank, it’s a third party application. Do you have
your own real estate?
The mobile internet population is expected to reach 185
Million in India by June this year, as per the report by
IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India). This
data, coupled with the fact that a good percentage of
online sales start with search via mobile, definitely
strengthens the role of content in the flow. As more and
more firms start to realize that instead of shouting out
and trying to reel in customers/users via Ads, Inbound
Marketing using proper content, resulting in customers
coming to you directly, is the thing of the moment. It’s
the only strategy that’ll survive in the long run.
Scope for Content Writers, Designers in Content Marketing
Industry Digital marketers, by default, tend to specialize
in content marketing over a period of time, as digital
marketing too is all about content. On the other hand,
going down the hierarchy, there is in fact a deficiency of
good content creators in the industry – and by content
creators I mean both writers and designers who create
any and every form of content.
A very good number of content writers are being hired by
content marketing firms and so are graphic designers,
illustrators and creative artists. Though simple it sounds,
it’s not as easy as it seems to get the right mix of people
with the right writing skills and/or aesthetic and design
skills. Why else would even European and Gulf countries
outsource a good portion of their Content Creation to
Indian Firms?
The Content Marketing Industry is booming and so is the
requirement for the right blend of skilled personnel. India
remains strong as a service provider in this industry, but
the industry as itself is yet to reach its heights here. But
for now, the future looks promising.
