The Journal of Medical and Dental Sciences is published quarterly in March, June, September and December by Tokyo

Medical and Dental University, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 113-8510, Japan. The Journal publishes authoritative, peer reviewed

articles relevant to the medical and dental sciences. Manuscripts will appear under one of the following sections: original

articles, reviews, mini reviews, short communications, case reports, technical innovations or statistical investigations.

Review articles are usually invited, but submitted reviews will be considered. Authors are requested only to send in

manuscripts prepared according to the “information for contributors” given on the inside page of the back cover.

6. Manuscriptswillbereviewedbythreeormoreprofessionals,whoaremembersoftheBoardorhavebeenrequestedbytheBoardtoserveasguestreviewers.ReviewersmaycomefromeitherwithinoroutsidetheUniversity.

7. Acceptabilitywillbedeterminedby theBoardandwillbasicallybereportedinorderofapplication.

8. ManuscriptsshouldbewritteninEnglish.9. ThemanuscriptshouldbesubmittedonA4paperandmustcomprise

onetypewrittenoriginalandfouradditionalcopies(figuresshouldbeoriginals).Afterfinalacceptance,anelectronicmanuscript(floppydisk,MD,CD,orothermedia)shouldbesubmitted.Disksshouldbelabeledwithinformationonthecomputermodel,nameofsoftware,manuscripttitle,andthenameandaffiliationofthefirstauthor.

10. Pagesmustbedouble-spacedandcontainapproximately20lines;onelineshouldcontainapproximately65letters.Eachpageshouldhavewidemarginsonbothsides.Pagesshouldbenumberedconsecutively.

11. Thelengthofthemanuscriptshouldbewithin20pages,includingtables,figures,andimages.
