TRANS-HUMANISM

What is trans-humanism (also called H+)? Peoplewho invented this concept wanted to create some extensions of human body in

order to be more powerful, fight against viruses and live for a longer time. Tran-humanism is considered as the world's most dangerous idea. If you give a superhuman strength to every human, the criminality could increase, the police and the law would be useless. If it fell in wrong hands, someone could control the earth and change humans into slaves. And finally, trans-humanism works thanks to electronic stuff, so if someone hacked the system, he could control or kill anyone! There are already forms of trans-humanism, for example, peacemakers and implants are considered as trans-humanism because it's something which is added in your body and it helps you to have a better health. Theypredict a transformation of the human being: will we become cyborgs?!You can find movies about trans-humanism, for example in Iron Man, Tony Stark uses trans-humanism to be a kind of hero with a robot's armour which helps him to fly and be stronger

and there are also some books like TheModular Man written by Roger MacBride Allen. In our opinion, we thought that trans-humanism could be a good thing if it was used in a medicalway, but if it was used as a weapon or military way it would be a disaster! Indeed, we are 7 billions on earth and it's already overpopulated, imagine if everyone could be immortal, it would be the apocalypse! Indeed, we have already a lot of trouble with environment, and earth's ressources would not be enough for all humans; we would starve and energy: electricity, water etc would not be enough too. And you, what do you think about trans-humanism? Good idea, or bad idea?

But to find her, their onlyclue is a cryptic note found hidden inSolando's room. But don't judge abook by his cover…This movie is a 2010 Americanpsychological thriller film directed byMartin Scorses, based on the 2003novel of the same name by DennisLehane. And it's a movie withLeonardo DiCaprio.

It's a movie who activate ourimagination and our thinking. Wecan be in the main actor's shoes,Leonardo DiCaprio because we may

indeed ask ourselves if MarshallEdward Daniels is really mad or if it'sthe others who made a plot againsthim.

Book : « The detached house of the crazy children »Valérie Valère, november 1978

A true story.

It's the storyabout a girl, hername is ValérieValère. She wascommitted inhospital at theage of 13 becauseof her disease, which can toucha lot of persons : anorexia. She tellswhat she did when she was in the bigParisian hospital called : « Thedetached house of the crazy children »

Her book is not only a worldview ofthe hospital for children or treatmentsfor mental sickness, but also thepathetic shout of a teenager who, oneday, refused to eat : she becomesaware of the reasons which pushedher towards anorexia, a dangerousdisease. This story is one of the first toexplain how to undergo a cure. A longcure. Valérie Valère tells the public howrejected she felt after ending up in thehospital with crazy children. However, when another girl with anorexia joined

her in the hospital, Valérie started tofinally speak with someone who hadthe same problem as her.

This book represents the disease whichtouches a lot of people in the world. She put words on a topic which is notunderstood. At the beginning, wecan't understand why ValérieValère is falling into anorexia butas one goes along, she takes thetime to tell her story to the reader. It's a detailed book with a lot ofsincerity which can touch even theheart of the most insensitive.

The game was supposedto be released in 2013 for thePlaystation 3 but on August 2014 thegame was reintroduced as a playstation4 exclusive and was releasedworldwilde on August 2015. The story of the game is a group offriends who are going in a cottage forthe winter however a criminal followsthem. Indeed, a lot of obstacles are

awaiting them when they willunderstand that even more monstrousand more malefic things infest themountain. The choices of the playerwill influence the outcome of story. The game is written by LarryFessenden and Graham Reznick, bothworking on the project since thebeginning. The game is appreciated bythe public. Will Byles reveals that theactors were chosen for theirappearance and their look. Thecreative team wanted to find the harshside of the young band we can find inthe horror movies at all costs .

Our opinion : It's a breath-taking gamebecause it's not the same story all thetime. The story depends on the players'choices. The results can be different. As an example, when the players makea choice, the choice can save acharacter of the game or not and wethink it's a good idea to have made thisbecause we can play the game severaltimes.Singer :

Gender equalityGender equality

For the International Women's Day, weare going to talk about the meninequalities! As everybody thinksabout the women when we talk aboutsexism, we are going to show you thatsome men are victims too.

Firstly, were you aware that there isalso an international date for the men :November the 19th?

It can be just a question of rights ormoney but it can be even worse likethe conjugal violence. In fact, physical, sexual and moral violence against menis often minimized or seen as normal. It's important to precise that the historyof corporal punishment has much moreoften been inflicted on boys than girls.MRAs (Mobilising for RightsAssociates) tend to deploy thearguments as evidence that men areoppressed by women, and, especially,by feminists : women rule the worldand are targeting men.

“Every years, 210 000 men died undera conjugal violence.”

As the women, the men are scared tomake a complaint !

If a man make a complaint, that will bemore difficult to trust him because it'shard to think about weak husband.

A battered men is more often victim ofviolence by an other man than awoman, justly it's a cause of manygendercides. They suffer because ofthe same gender role stereotypes thathurt and restrict women like « Womenare supposed to be obedient, stay athome and be sexually open » and «Men are supposed to be active andviolent ».

“Women have been fighting againstsexism for a long time. If men canlearn from them, it will be toeveryone's benefit.”

Express YourselfExpress YourselfThe student in his time

Our students in English speaking litteraturein TL had to write an imaginary story abouta problem they feel deeply about in today'ssociety. Most of them chose to tackle theproblem of bullying, this is one of them, byMathis.

Well, this is the first time that I dothis. It's kinda weird to me, in fact, I'm notused to open up to anyone or something, butI will try, it seems that eases the soul. So letme explain my whole story and its issues.Everything happened in 1999, the year ofmy birth. The 3 first years of my life wassimilar enough to other people's lives, butthe first impediment that I was forced toovercome was my first years at school. Andit was during these first years that I realizedthat children can be cruel, children aremonsters amongst themselves. I remembersomeone, who hated me, obviously, whotold me that I « was a piece of shit » and thatdeeply hurt me. Then, the second issuehappened during highschool. It was a verydifficult period for me. Everyone hated me,everybody laughed at me, everyone wantedto hurt me. During my highschool years, Iwas lonely everyday. So if you cogitate alittle bit, during 15 years, I was lonelyeveryday. It's very hard, to see everyonehappy, everyone laughed, it's hard but it'snot the main issue, in fact, during this 15years, I was persecuted, excluded. Okay, itcan happen, I can overcome that, I can live

with loneliness but ,once, a guy told mesomething extremely horrible. He said : «you're a piece of shit, you don't deserve to bealive with a face like that, you're a littlebastard, if I were you, if I were in yourshoes, I would end my life now, you don'tdeserve to be alive ! ». His words hauted meeveryday, until the day I decided to try toend my life with my father's gun. That day, Itried so hard to pull out the trigger but Icouldn't, I don't know why. I was totallydetermined to end my life so I tried to hangmyself. I almost managed to but, each timethat I tried something stopped me. I knowwhat it feels like to feel the coolness of thebarrel, the threads of the rope around myneck, these feelings are so special that I can'texplain it. You can wonder why I'm stillalive. Surely because, when I try to killmyself, I think about the meaning of my life.I ask myself : « Why ? Why I'm still alive,my life is shit, everyone wants my death, so,why I'm still alive ? » and the only anwserthat I find is « I don't know, my life ismeaningless, it's a certainty, so why do Icare about other, just live your life as youwant ! » And I think, it's thanks to thisphilosophy that I'm still alive now. Mystory's lesson, if needs be one, is : lifedeserves to be lived, whatever ohters think, whatever issues you must overcome. Youmust use your problems, your past toconfront your future. I'm Sitam and this wasmy story.
