This corresponds to an increase of nearly 15% from 2014 to 2075. By 2075, around 28.7 % of the population will be over 65 years old, compared to 18.4 % in 2014. By 2075, around 18.7 % of the population will be younger than 20 years, compared to 19.7 % in 2014. The life expectancy of people in Austria will continue to rise; at the moment it is 83.7 years for women and 78.9 years for men.
