DSEN are delighted to announce New Pathways CIC as a new member to DSEN’s network (formerly an Aspiring member). New Pathways provides a home repair service that offers cus-tomers quality services for affordable rates with the social cause to help vulnerable adults from homelessness.
Their service will provide solutions for any home repair, emergency or maintenance job - their slogan, “no job too small”. Income received is invested into providing support services that help house vulnerable adults and those at risk of becoming homeless.
Customers can expect New Pathways Handyman Services to help with almost any job around the home. Work is split between experienced profes-sionals who are qualified and pvg checked to perform jobs ranging from fixing leaking pipes, installation of shelves and cosmetic enhance-ments such as wallpapering and tiling.

Social Enterprise Dundee 2016 – Conference Bags
In recognition and celebration of the excellent work and outstanding commitment to the delivery of excellent services for the people of Dundee, we are proud to announce Social Enterprise Conference Dundee 2016.
This is only made possible through the dedication and hard work of social enterprise organisations like you. We hope that you will be able to join us in adding to the value of the conference through contributing your organisation’s products. We are specifically seeking consumable goods related to Dundee but if you are able to provide alternative products we would very much like to hear from you. We expect upwards of 120 delegates, providing an excellent means to market not only your products but also your organisation.

This free event is designed to give you more information about the Leadership Exchange Programme, as well as the opportunity to network with other leaders interested in an exchange. You can join the programme here without needing to attend an event, and there is no obligation to join after the event. This event is open to leaders at middle, senior, and executive level from all sec-tors (public, private, third) in Scotland.

With the baking skills of the Angus Federation of the Womens Institute ably assisted by pupils from
the Harris Academy, the new pop up tea room marquee proved very popular at this year’s Flower
and Food Festival. The success was brought and organised by Transform Community Development.
Kat Mansi, Director, Transform Community Development said: “Arch Catering is a project of Trans-
form Community Development set up as a social enterprise activity to raise funds for the charity and
provide valuable work experience for some of its clients.”

Dundee Futures Fund Next funding deadline: Tuesday 1st November 2016
From October 2015 to date, The Dundee Futures Fund has received a diverse and positive base of
grant applications of which many are further developing their ideas, services and social impact.
Open to early stage social enterprises, and aspiring social enterprises, Dundee Futures Fund aims to provide;
Support for start-up and early stage social enterprises in Dundee
Feasibility Grant – to help you test the feasibility of your idea, and inform the development of your business plan.
Main Grant— for applicants based within Dundee City area, or proposed Social Enterprise to be based within Dundee City area and demonstrate the impact of their work for Dundee through a strong business case.
In addition to DSEN staff support, additional support is provided through legal surgeries, spe-cialist workshops (eg marketing, market research) and 6 days of training from the Social Enterprise Academy through their Develop Your Social Enterprise course.
