• The purpose of this British documentary series, is to follow the day to day lives of teachers and students at school, throughout a year, trying to provide the best education possible through the good and bad moments.

• This documentary series is mainly observational mode, as the audience are viewing the series and the events unfold, they are not aware of the camera, and we do not see the filmmaker.

• Sometimes a voice over is used, only for educating the audience on the events, this is usually used at the beginning or the end of the episode, the filmmaker prefers to use interviews, filmed in relevant locations such as within the school facilities.
