SynopsisThis training enables the whole dental team to understand the reasons for practicing effective infection control procedures and how to implement them in conjunction to the HTM01-05 guidelines. It raises awareness of routine infection control within the dental environment and helps to provide strategies to control infection risks, whether the practice is working to ‘Essential Requirements’ or ‘Best Practice’. It encourages practices to progressively raise the quality of decontamination of their reusable instruments within their dental facility. Jonty BaylissHaving graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 Jonty joined Dentisan in the summer of 2014 and has since gained a deep understanding of infection prevention and HTM 01-05 compliance. Working with dental practices across the North of the UK, Jonty has helped many to amend their processes to take account of local guidelines.

Anne HarrisAnne has almost 10 years’ experience in dental infection control. Having been part of the industry before, during and after the publication of HTM 01-05, she understands the challenges that decontamination compliance brings to some practices. Simon Chard qualified in 2012 with Honours from King’s College London Dental Institute; he was awarded the prestigious Academy of Operative Dentistry Award given to the top student in the year for clinical dentistry, as well as receiving awards for the root canal therapy and aesthetic dentistry. Since qualifying Simon has been working in general practice in Pimlico, London and is currently undertaking further training in advanced aesthetic dentistry with the world renowned Dentist Dr Chris Orr. He is extremely passionate about his profession with a particular emphasis on the management of anxious patients, aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery.Simon is a member of a number of associations including the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and currently sits on the young membership and communications committees of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD); which helps him to stay up to date with the latest advances in aesthetic dentistry. Outside of work he enjoys keeping fit as well as being a keen photographer, snowboarder and scuba diver.

Dr Jameel Gardee graduated with a BDS with Commendation from Glasgow University in 1995. Subsequently he completed a post graduate degree in Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from Boston University in 2001, where he was a Resident in the Department of Restorative Sciences.

He grew up and followed his university education in Portugal, where in 1998 he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Dental Technology and later in 2002 the Degree in Dental Technology - fixed prosthodontics. He opened his own laboratory in the UK in 2006, where he started working as Self-employed and then changed to Majestic Smile Ltd in 2011. He became a Sirona Certified inLab Trainer in 2011, where he shares his knowledge to current and future Sirona users. He is also the founder of the Academy of Digital Dentistry.

Dr Jameel Gardee graduated with a BDS with Commendation from Glasgow University in 1995. Subsequently he completed a

postgraduate degree in Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from Boston University in 2001, where he was a Resident in the Department of Restorative Sciences.

Peter qualified from Glasgow Dental School, gaining a distinction in his final year. After working in Glasgow for several years he

moved to work in Ayrshire to pursue his interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and complex Implant Rehabilitations.

Dr Mark Skimming took the brave decision to dramatically cut his wage early in his career to complete a Masters Degree in Restorative

Dentistry. This was to feed his passion to be the absolute best he can be! And at just 27 years old he became the UK’s youngest ever dentist to receive this advanced qualification.

Alan qualified in 1990 and has worked in Partick since 1991. Around 2003 he noticed a change in patients’ expectations and

dentures were no longer being widely accepted. Having completed the Implant training course with Warwick University in 2005, he has been placing and restoring implants since.

Tariq Ali limits his practice to Implant dentistry and is the owner of the Centre for Implant Dentistry, an implant referral practice

based in the centre of Glasgow. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and has obtained the RCS (London) Diploma in Implant Dentistry.

Martin Leca qualified as a dental technician in 2005 and has worked in the industry for the past 14 years. After initial focus on developing

his Prosthetics skill base, Martin began to develop multi skills across all functions within the laboratory. His vision was always to develop a full service commercial laboratory.

Donald gained his BDS from Dundee University in 1997. He completed his vocational training at the John Radcliff

hospital in Oxford and then moved to London where he ran his own, successful dental practice until he sold it in 2007 to return home to Scotland.

Adam is an award winning leader in training solutions who teaches businesses and individuals how to grow and create higher

results in their marketplace. Adam works specifically with dental practices throughout the UK and helps dental teams to raise the bar, be more successful and achieve their goals and vision.

SynopsisOrthodontics is a facial, skeletal, and dental specialty. Moreover, none of these areas can be viewed independently of each other when it comes to orthodontic treatment. They are all interrelated. Orthodontists are responsible for the total facial harmony of the patient. During this course, Dr. Luis Carrière will demonstrate how correcting Class II or Class III malocclusions at the beginning of treatment, before bracketing and when patient compliance levels are at their highest, provides unique efficiencies and results in minimal extractions. Dr. Carrière will also show how correcting Class II and Class III malocclusions, and then transitioning to a Passive Self-Ligating system, provides treatment efficiencies over traditional mechanics. This new unique and innovative treatment approach ensures that the orthodontist addresses the total facial harmony of the patient.

Dr. Carrière obtained his dental degree from the University of Complutense in Madrid (UCM), in 1991. He then attended the University of Barcelona (UB) where he completed his Orthodontic training and received his Master of Science in Orthodontics in 1994. In

2006, he received his Doctorate in Orthodontics, Cum Laude, from the University of Barcelona. In May 1995, Dr. Carrière became the proud recipient of the “Joseph E. Johnson Award” from the American Association of Orthodontists. He has also won the International Design Award Delta Gold ADI-FAD 2009 with the “Carrière® DistalizerTM MB”. Dr. Carrière is a Member of the Editorial Review Board for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as an invited professor at several Orthodontic departments throughout the world. Dr Carrière is the inventor of both the internationally known Carrière Self-Ligating Bracket and the Carrière MotionTM Appliance.

Lino Adolf was born and raised in South Africa. He grew up and followed his university education in Portugal, where in 1998 he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Dental Technology and later in 2002 the Degree in Dental Technology - fixed prosthodontics. He

has been developing his technical education in fixed prosthodontics until this day. Between 1998-2006 he was teaching at ISCS-N University, fixed prosthodontics and lab orthodontics. In 2001 he became Victor Hugo do Carmo’s - Oral Design International (Switzerland) - Protégé. He opened his own laboratory in the UK in 2006, where he started working as Self-employed and then changed to Majestic Smile Ltd in 2011. He has been working with CAD/CAM since 1998 and with the Sirona inLab system since 2009. He became a Sirona Certified inLab Trainer in 2011, where he shares his knowledge to current and future Sirona users. He is also the founder of the Academy of Digital Dentistry.

This course will give you the tools you need to get the most out of your Inlab system. From virtual diagnostic wax-ups to Implant cases using Sirona Connect, this course covers it all. Starting with Anterior case design, you will be guided through utilisation of all of the tools in Inlab 15 to create that perfect smile. Virtual diagnostic wax-ups can be tough, but you will explore all of the options and work on real cases, allowing you to plan and prepare for those tricky cases. This will naturally take us into the design of Eggshell preparations for those immediate temporaries, and more importantly how you can achieve great results which are accurate and timesaving. You will delve into the implantology module of Inlab 15 and work on implant cases both from Sirona Connect and traditional impressions, utilising all of the software’s capabilities to achieve great results.
