To complete this unit you must…

Assignment 1: Produce a presentation on the Technical and Tactical Demands of Three Sports.

Assignment 2: Produce a fact file of Technical and Tactical Analysis of an Elite Sports Performer.

Assignment 3: Complete a Technical and Tactical Self-analysis in your selected sport.

Learning Outcomes: On completion of this unit a

learner should: 1 Understand the technical skills

and tactics demanded by selected sports.

2 Be able to assess the technical and tactical ability of an elite sports performer.

3 Be able to assess their own technical and tactical ability.

Definition of a Tactic:An action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end. Synonyms: Strategy, Scheme, Stratagem, Plan, Set of Tactics, Manoeuvre, Course/line of action.

Definition of a Technique:A way of carrying out a particular task, especially the execution or performance of an artistic work or a scientific procedure.Synonyms: Skill, Skilfulness, Ability, Capability, Proficiency, Expertise, Expertness, Mastery, Talent, Genius, Artistry, Art, Craftsmanship, Craft.

Learner Task: While watching the video footages, take down key notes on each Tactic, at the end of the video each table will be challenged with a quick quiz to challenge how much you identified!
