The EducationUSA Advising Center – Public Affairs Section, U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City is pleased to announce the EducationUSA SAT & GRE Preparation Courses for Vietnamese students with solid plans to study in the U.S. in the near future. The objective for this EducationUSA SAT & GRE Preparation Courses is to improve Vietnamese students’ applications to U.S. undergraduate programs by developing the skills and knowledge needed to maximize their SAT & GRE test score. All costs, including placement and final test fee, tuition, and test books will be sponsored by the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Students must attend at least 80% of class hours in order to be entitled to end-of-course awards and receive certificates upon completion of the program. Course length: 10 weeks, October 23 - January 12, 2017 PROGRAM OVERVIEW Class level: advanced SAT & high intermediate GRE Class dates: Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays, 05:30 - 07:00pm. The days for each class have not been confirmed yet. Class venue: RMIT Vietnam, Saigon South Campus, 702 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. SELECTION CRITERIA Only applicants for both SAT and GRE who pass screening and exhibit a strong intent to study in the U.S.A. will be invited to take placement tests. RMIT University Vietnam will contact selected candidates to arrange placement tests. 20 students from each section (SAT and GRE) with the highest score on placement tests will be selected for classes. Be students in grade 10, 11, or 12 or currently taking one gap year Have a good academic record and a very good English score (A- minimum in English for students from international schools, 8.5/10 in English for public school students) GRE: Eligible candidates for this course should: Be college students or work professionals between 20 – 40 years old Have a good undergraduate record (top 20% of their class) or at least 2 years working experience in their field of expertise SAT: Eligible candidates for this course should: Complete application form online at https://goo.gl/TGJans Submit official school transcripts for 4 most recent semesters (for SAT applicants) or undergraduate transcripts (for GRE applicants).
