About the University

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda

(CUPB) was established in 2009 by an Act of

Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is

accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. The

Central University of Punjab is the youngest

university that has secured 87thRank in the

University category & 1st amongst New Central

Universities in NIRF Ranking 2020.

The School of Education (SOE): Recognizing the

need of providing quality education to the students

of the backward region, the Centre for Education

was established in 2013 with a mission to enable

young aspirants to meet the needs and demands of

present technological and scientific era. The

school of Education endeavours to achieve

excellence by facilitating quality-based education

and research for students.

Global Educational Research Association (GERA)

Global Educational Research Association is a Society having its own constitution. This society was

founded on 12th Nov. 2010 under the leadership of Late Prof. B. K. Passi. The present president

Prof. S. P. Malhotra is providing leadership to achieve the objectives of GERA to develop and

promote educational research, to provide an international forum for discussion of problems related

to educational research, to conduct workshops, seminars, conference etc, to disseminate findings of

research, to publish journals, monographs and other types of literature on educational research, to

co-operate with organisations engaged in educational research, to carry out all such other activities
