BRILL CHAPEL LIBRARY NEW LOOK!

ORGANIZED! SELF-SERVICE!

USER FRIENDLY! ATTRACTIVE!

An ad-hoc committee chaired by JoAnn McNaught along with members Burrel McNaught, Edith Carlstone, and Darlene Northcutt were appointed to re-organize the Chapel Library with the above stated goal in mind. Each contributed to the project with their special area of expertise.

Their first meeting was May 5, 2019. After three months and 100+ man hours the monumental task was completed when on August 26th, the final report and approval were given at the monthly Religious Life Committee meeting.

Jan Neel, Wilma Reppert, and consultant Beth Case, served as the decorating committee to give the library shelves a finished and attractive touch.

Please come by to admire, examine, peruse, and especially note that it is organized into categories identified by a corresponding label. Each and every book has been stamped with the appropriate category to which it belongs. This will help you return it to the correct location.

PLEASE NOTE: This library is organized and operates differently than the main library located just off the main lobby. A library committee keeps it operating smoothly. This library was designed to be “self-operating.” “YOU ARE THE LIBRARIAN.”

Therefore, “HOW TO USE THIS LIBRARY” Instructions are framed and are on a far right shelf to help you remember the following:

Select a book you want to read/use Enjoy when and where you wish ….. …… For as long as you wish Return the book to its proper place. Forgot where you got it? Consult the label in the front of the book that names the category where

it belongs.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED to keep the library neat and organized. Please do not leave donated books….. (They can always be donated to “Friends of the Library.” Nearest location is the “Metropolitan Library,” located in The Village.)

BRAUM’S FAMILY FARM& BAKERY TOUR TUTTLE, OK

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH

LEAVE EPWORTH VILLA @ 9:45 AM

LUNCH OUT @ BRAUM’S BEFORE WE RETURN

Come join us as we take a drive to Tuttle, OK for a tour of the Braum’s Family Farm Dairy

and Bakery. We will plan to leave Epworth Villa Lobby at 9:45 am for a 11:00 am tour.

The tour is FREE but there will be a transportation fee of $8.00. We will also be stopping

for lunch at a Braum’s on the way back which will also be your expense.

There is a flight of stairs to climb so the TOUR IS NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. If

you are interested in going, please sign up in the Count Me In Book BY FRIDAY,

SEPTEMBER 20th. THERE IS A LIMIT OF 13 FOR THIS TOUR.

Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Stores…just the name conjures up visions of scrumptious

ice cream, giant hamburgers, dairy fresh milk, fresh baked goods, even meats, fruits and

vegetables. So what’s the story behind Braum’s? Well, it can be summed up in two

words “vertical integration”. Basically it means that Braum’s believes that if you want

something done right…you do it yourself. Which is a concept that founders, Bill and

Mary Braum and their children are proud of.

The very heart of the Braum’s operation is the Braum‘s Family Farm located in Tuttle,

Oklahoma. This 10,000 acre working family farm is home to Braum’s private dairy herd,

milk barn, processing plant, bakery and warehouse distribution facility, truck mainte-

nance facility, and water treatment plant.

The Braum’s Dairy isn’t your “typical” dairy. It is one of the largest dairy operations in

the world and a showplace in the industry. Each day, they milk thousands of cows an

hour, providing enough fresh raw milk for over one million glasses! They are also the

only major ice cream maker in the country to milk their own cows for the use of the

milk. And because Braum’s milk comes from their own private dairy herd they know

what goes into it and what doesn’t. They don’t use any growth hormones to stimulate

milk production and never add antibiotics to their feed. Braum’s dairy herd enjoys a

100% vegetarian diet including alfalfa hay, cottonseed and corn, with the majority of

the feed grown right on our farm. For more in the Braum’s history go to:
