Poland: The Sky Tower -class A o° ces with Danfoss solutionsThe tallest building of the EU now resides in Wroclaw in Poland; the 212 meter high Sky Tower forms the pleasant setting for thousands of people living and working in the building. Sky Tower provides Class A+ o° ces with comfort air conditioning controlled by the individual user. The cooling solution has been designed and commissioned by Danfoss using AB-QM pressure independent balancing and control valves for perfect ̋ow control. The reliable and ̋exible cooling solution achieved by the use of pressure independent balancing and control valves has also resulted in a very high energy e° ciency of the building.

Slovenia: Pioneers in environmentally friendly technologiesTUS, one of the biggest supermarket chains in Slovenia, has been a Danfoss customer for many years. Danfoss ADAP-KOOL® refrigeration system is installed in 54 stores across Slovenia and cut energy by 17.5%. In Moravce, they went even further, and developed a unique system that controls the entire technology in the store. Waste heat from the refrigeration system is used for heating sanitary water and for producing hot water for indoor supermarket heating. A heat pump (Danfoss-Thermia) has been added for supplementing enough heating energy in the winter and to provide cooling water for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning in the summer.

Bulgaria: ZAGORKA - a century of history with an ambitious futureZAGORKA is one of the most advanced breweries in Central and Eastern Europe. One of the main modernization projects the company developed in the last years, was an upgrade of the gear motors on a glass bottle ÿ lling line to more e° cient motors. The main objectives of the project were upgrade to higher performance, ̋exibility, and reliability of the drive systems

that have a direct impact on production cost. HEINEKEN ZAGORKA chose VLT® FlexConcept® to meet all these demands. In total, around 40 motors were replaced stepwise in the wet (hygienic) part of the ÿ lling line. The new drive system consists of the VLT® OneGearDrive® where drive and motor are integrated into a single unit.

Hungary: 2 million tires a year, produced near BudapestApollo Tyres opened its ÿ rst greenÿ eld investment outside of India, a more than 72 hectare factory that cost EUR 475 million, in Gyöngyöshalász, less than 100 km from Budapest. The plant, which is Apollo’s second in Europe, will put out two million tires a year once it reaches full capacity at the fall of 2018. Danfoss has delivered the balancing solutions for the HVAC system and also an ice and snow melting system to ensure safety on the production area.

Romania: The greenest o° cebuilding in Bucharest First of all, the brand new o° ce building was equipped with an advanced heat pump system utilizing the free heat and cold of the ground for space heating, cooling and hot water. Secondly, the control of the heating and cooling solution is extremely precise, performed automatically by almost 2,000 AB-QM pressure independent balancing and control valves (PIBCV) from Danfoss. In 2014, Floreasca Park was awarded the CEEQA Award (Central and Eastern European Real Estate Quality Award) and the SEEQA Award (South Eastern European Real Estate Quality Award).

Croatia: Pokupsko - A winner in energy e° ciencyPokupsko Municipality is the Winner for the European Sustainable Energy Award for 2016 for several projects related directly to energy e° ciency and renewable energy sources they implemented during last 10 years. One of the projects is a new biomass plant and district heating micro network. Danfoss participated in the project of construction of the biomass micro network, and our substations are now part of the new district heating network, contributing to the comfort of the inhabitants, and also to minimizing impact of heating system on the enviroment.

Slovakia: Tri Vody Malinovo - the future is electricThe new residential buildings project, near the capital of the country, is an ambitious project that aims to integrate in nature, and reduce the tenants impact on the surrounding environment. This is why, the 9 apartment buildings have a modern heating system, with electrical ̋oor heating solution. The systems are controlled with modern room thermostats DEVIreg Touch , that allows scheduling heating to individual needs and reduce energy waste.

Serbia: Modern solutions to reduce costs production costs in mining bargeOn the Danube, close to the town of Kovin in Serbia, a mining barge excavates gravel from the riverbed up to 30m depth and prepares the ground for another vessel to mine coal from a depth of up to 40m. The owners, N&MM Beton decided therefore to replace the aging system with a new 315 kW electric motor, speed controlled by a VLT® AutomationDrive FC 302 in an IP 54 cabinet. The e° ciency gains of the new system are impressive. Compared to the previous status and use of 66 € / hour, the average cost per hour now is only 15 €. This means that the payback time for the new system was less than six months.

Czech Republic: Prague Castle - aEuropean landmark Around year 850 the ÿ rst bricks which were to become Prague Castle were laid. Today the castle is perhaps one of the most beautiful sites to see in Prague. During the renovation of the Castle, the heating system was also renewed, to ensure maintaining the correct temperature and reduce energy consumption. Danfoss supplied the radiator thermostats together with automatic balancing valves for the heating system in order to minimize the running energy costs, and ensure that the visitors will enjoy the comfort atmosphere.

Ukraine: Trade Center in Kiev -changing business enviroment on the inside. When the rennovation of the Kiev trade center began, focus on increasing internal comfort and increasing energey e° ciency. Danfoss was involved in the project and developed a unique solution, tailored on the needs of the impressive rennovation project. The heating systems were upgraded with Danfoss substations that connect the building to the local district heating network, and the system was echilibrated with the RA-DV valves. The HVAC system was also upgraded and is balanced with the support of the AB-QM pressure independent balancing valves.
