INAUGURATION REPORT

About EERC:

EERC (Electrical And Electronics Research Consortium) is an organization dedicated to advance technologicalinnovation and excellence for the benefit of the students of Jeppiaar engineering college, particularly for the studentsof Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The main motto of this organization is to inspire the student communitythrough EERC's quality workshops, guest lectures, professional and educational activities. EERC is a student initiativeand its core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of both the student of our college and humanity. EERC is the first technical society of our institution which is dedicated for the growth of thestudents of our college. The initiation of EERC was first started by Arun Raj. N, a final year EEE student who aspiredto contribute something worthwhile to the students of electrical department of this institution in order to eliminate the

problem of students getting stuck with high quality idea but unable to propose their innovations due to lack of technical knowledge and insecurity of being rejected. This organization is aimed to help and serve as a platform toestablish the studen ts idea on electrical and other technical aspects in a profound way.

Inauguration:

The inauguration of EERC took place in our college auditorium on 13 th August, 2012 in the presence of Dr. Sushil LalDas, Principal (Science and Technology), Dr.N.Thangavel, Principal (Management Studies), HOD, Staff and Studentsof EEE department. The ceremony included the inauguration of our organization, investiture, oath taking followed bythe inspiring speech of the chief guests. The event was followed by an orientation session for the juniors. Manytechnical, motivating and fun events took place in that session.

Project display competition:

The organizing committee of EERC arranged for a project display competition for the students of EEE department onSeptember 24 th 2012. This competition was attached with a guest lecture on recent trends in embedded technology.The students participated in the competition with interest and found this as a platform to bring out their technical andinnovative skill in making a real time project. The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates by the Principal

of science and technology, Dr. Sushil Lal Das. An idea can only become a reality once it is broken down into organized, actionable elements. ~ Scott Belsky

EERC will continue to work and serve the student community by bringing out their ideas and making themreality one day.
