Efectis can qualify if your product is fire safe. We can do this in our laboratories, as well as on location and this in a tailor-made way.

Efectis can make calorimetric hood testing of pallets, and manufacturing products or furniture, like seat belts, inflammable liquid, etc. in order to determine heat release rate, mass loss, toxic gas, emissivity, fire spread, etc. and up to 5MW.

Efectis’ extensive testing facilities allow us to carry out almost any type of fire test. These vary from standardized tests up to tailor made tests that Efectis carries out in our facilities and under any existing testing standard.

The calorimetric hood
Efectis can realize real scale fire test in the framework of research project or for design construction product validation in order to demonstrate the efficiency of the custumer’s systems, like: failure mode of structures, fire behavior of structure elements or fire wall, fire development model’ validation, extinguishing system validation etc.

FireFighting systems’ testing
Efectis is the first company in the world that is able to perform realistic fire resistance testing on-site using mobile furnaces.
The MobiFire® can be applied to all kinds of structural elements, such as ceilings, floors, roofs and walls. The damage to the structure will be very limited, thanks to the fire controllability. All fire curves are possible (ISO, RWS, HCM) for any desired duration. The MobiFire allows to demonstrate the fire resistance capabilities of the construction element. Especially this is of interest for concrete structures, where the spalling behavior has to be determined adequately.

Efectis created the « Efectis OutLabs » companies to propose the same Efectis quality level as in the laboratories, but outside them.
Efectis Outlabs Ventilation is a company dedicated to perform in-situ tests (in tunnels, offices, high rise buildings…) related to smoke exhaust and ventilation systems.
Ancient monuments and historic buildings are a challenge in terms of fire safety (safety of visitors, protection of monuments and works of art).

The Efectis network offers a range of services as Notified bodies in regard of CE marking of products with fire characteristics covering system 1 (certification + inspection + testing) and system 3 (testing) of the certificate of constancy of performance.

saFe4Fire voLuntary marking
Efectis developed a voluntary fire-safe marking to maintain a high fire security level in buildings.
As the application of regulations is not controlled and construction elements have not always been tested for fire resistance, Efectis is able to control and check fire safety level of construction elements.
This service offers the insurance and certification of the compatibility of all fire resistant construction elements with test reports and technical specifications by Efectis as a third party, covering all processes from design to manufacturing and installation.
Another service is to provide and maintain full fire safety of constructions, based on building risk classes with detailed service steps and testing, on-site tests, surveillance and control risk analysis services.
