EFF  CELEBRATES  THE  GRAMMY  AWARD-­WINNING  SOWETO  GOSPEL  CHOIR

The  Economic  Freedom  Fighters  (EFF)  congratulates  and  celebrates  Soweto  Gospel  Choir  on  

their   third   Grammy   Award   for   Best   World   Music   Album.   We   are   extremely   proud   of   this  

achievement  particularly  because  the  choir  has  remained  authentic  in  its  representation  of  our  

culture  and  our  heritage.    

 

It  is  of  great  significance  that  the  choir  won  for  its  album  titled  'Freedom',  which  is  a  rendition  of  

well-­known  struggle  songs.  The  reverberation  of  the  struggle  songs  is  what  fans  the  flame  for  

the  fight  for  economic  emancipation  in  our  lifetime.  

 

We  congratulate  the  gifted,  unapologetic  and  authentic  Soweto  Gospel  Choir  which  inspires  us  

to  remain  true  to  who  we  are.
