March 24, 2020 Good morning! Spelling: Use all spelling words in sentences. This week’s spelling words: sound, count, powder, blouse, frown, pound, house, mountain, coward Reading: We will be working on the skill, cause and effect. A cause is why something happens. An effect is what happens.

● Think about it: In the story, Kamishibai Man Jiichan returns to the city to do his rounds after many years. Now, there is more traffic and people blast their horns at Jiichan (effect). What is causing more traffic? The city has grown larger and busier (cause). What is another effect of the city growing busier? There are more shops and restaurants and less trees (effect).

● Practice cause and effect on your own. On a piece of paper write your heading, number the paper, and write the cause and effect for each sentence #1-5.
