Effective Business Writing Skills Effective Business Writing Skills is designed to help participants gain requisite skills to write letters, e-mails, memos,
minutes of meetings, and reports that people can understand and take seriously. Participants will learn a wide range of busi-ness communication skills in situations applicable to the HR, Finance and Marketing departments, writing and replying to in-quiries and complaints, writing agenda and minutes of meetings, and writing proposals, performance and feasibility reports. The workshop will help participants gain the confidence to write documents that can be easily understood and that can gener-ate the desired responses.
By the end of the course, participants should
be able to:
• Plan their document in an organised manner
• Overcome a writer’s block
• Determine proper document layout
• Write effective introductions to their document
• Express and write clearly using good grammar and structure
• Plan and write an effective agenda for meetings
• Report the minutes of a meeting
• Write impactful conclusions and recommendations
• Edit their documents to effect powerful first impressions
